Indeed, I feel privileged, overwhelmed and at the same time humbled by the continuous participations, active support and help by members of the India Association of Long Island (IALI) in organizing many activities .I do believe that I have been able keep their faith, live up to their trust in me and have been delivering my responsibilities with the utmost care, dedications and professionalism. anks to my outstanding executive council for their non-stop help and support to take IALI to the next level and reach its goals for the current year. IALI have organized successfully numerous pro- grams with very enthusiastic participations by our community. eses significant events, since January 2016, are,Oath Ceremony at Suffolk County Executive Building on January 22, 2016, Valentine Dinner at LEONARD Palazzo, Great Neck on February 14 , 2016, Holi Celebrations at Hindu Center, Hicksville on March 20, 2016, “Jugal Bandi“ at Plain- view Library with singer Sharda on April 29 , 2016, Mothers Day celebration at MINT , Garden city on May 1, 2016, Young Adults Luncheon at MINT Garden City on May 8 , 2016, Family Picnic at Eisenhower Park on July 10 ,2016, Annual GALA Dinner at HILTON Hotel, Melville on June 18, 2016, Meditation Session at our India Center ,Hicksville by Shivangi Kapoor ( Niece of the famous Lata Mangeshkar on Sept 17, 2016, Health forum at our India Center , Hicksville on October 1 , 2016 and more. We have either partnered, collaborated and or participated in the celebrations and programs with many organizations such as, Republic day Celebrations at Hemp- stead Town Hall on Jan 26 , 2016, Punya Tithi Mahatama Gandhi at Suffolk County Executive Bldg on Jan 30, 2016, NIAASC Conference at Kerala center on May 26, 2016, Asian American festivals at Bar Beach on May 21, 2016, India day Parade (IDP) at Hicksville on August 6, 2016, India Day parade of FIA in New York city on August 21 , 2016, India Day parade of Bellorose/Queen on August 13, 2016, Independence Day Celebrations by Nassau county on August 15 , 2016, National Homecoming Week 2016 celebrations organized by WINS at Suffolk County Executive Building. IALI was honored on Sept 19, 2016 for its achievements, accomplishments and its services to the Indian American Community. Business Roundtable by Nassau County Comptroller on November 15, 2016. Upcoming one of the most awaited premier event – “IndiaFest 2016“ is on Nov 20 at HILTON, Melville, DIWALI celebration at HILTON, Melville on Nov 20, 2016 , Food Drive at INN on November 12, 2016. IALI is also planning to have a senior Luncheon, Young parents Family event and of course, Annual general Body meeting in the December 2016. Every month has been full of many programs and activities from Sangeet Forum, Mens Forum, Business Forum, kids forum, women forum, Health forum and Meditation Forum. We are confident that the community will contin- ue its backing, full involvement and active participation. e valued ongoing support from the media, sponsors and volunteers cannot be expressed in mere words and I hope that they will be with us for the long haul. I am grateful to the past IALI presidents and my other fellow community leaders for their unwavering, long-standing and ongoing contributions that keep IALI strong and ever growing. We are very happy to share with you that many encouraging , enhancing feedbacks, comments and respons- es have been received , from time to time , strengthening and exhilarating our efforts more and more .Definitely , it depicts and portrays a bigger , better and brighter visibility , recognition of our vibrant IALI with the prestige not only among the Indian American Community but also in main stream community of Long Island and beyond. I would be remiss if I don’t mention specially my husband Navneet and my children who have given a big unconditional support for accomplishing my responsibilities.
