Currently, we are in the process ofpacking up our offices and getting readyto begin an exciting new chapter in thehistory of the Coral Springs RegionalChamber! Our scheduled move date tothe Municipal Complex is February 12thand our new address is 9500 WestSample Road, Coral Springs Florida33065. This new location will be muchmore convenient for our memberssince it is more centrally located indowntown Coral Springs. There will be a ribbon cutting on
Saturday, February 17th at 5:00 pm to celebrate this historicmoment in time.I will be attending Broward Days with several of my Chambercolleagues, as well as our Chair Elect, Tim Hogans on February7th. Broward Days is an annual multi-day forum in the state capitolthat focuses on the most current and pressing needs of ourcommunity. I will be there torepresent our Chamber, as well as all of the other Chambers ofCommerce in the County, as the Chair of the Broward Council ofChambers. The Gala committee is working feverishly to make this year'sGrand Gala sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital &U18 Sports Medicine a wonderful evening that benefits theChamber's Education Foundation. The money raised from theauction provides much needed funding to the DECA and BPAprograms (programs for business students) in our local highschools. The theme is "It's 5:00 Somewhere", the attire is 'tropicalelegant' and the date is Friday, April 13th. Nomination forms forSmall Business Leader of the Year for both Coral Springs andCoconut Creek, as well as the Covered Bridge Award will be going

We are looking for business partners to participate in a Job Shadow Day for selectstudents from our local high schools!
This is an opportunity for students to experience what a business owner orprofessional does on a daily basis. They will have the chance to walk through a part ofthe workday as a "shadow" to your local business, industry, or organization. They willwitness firsthand the work environment, employability, and occupational skills inpractice, the value of post-high school education, training and potential career options.Job shadowing is designed to reinforce the link between the high school classroomand work requirements.
