Our scheduled move date to the Municipal Complex is February 12th and our new address is 9500 West Sample Road, Coral Springs Florida 33065. This new location will be much more convenient for our members since it is more centrally located in downtown Coral Springs. There will be a ribbon cutting on Saturday, February 17th at 5:00 pm to celebrate this historic moment in time. I will be attending Broward Days with several of my Chamber colleagues, as well as our Chair Elect, Tim Hogans on February 7th. Broward Days is an annual multi-day forum in the state capitol that focuses on the most current and pressing needs of our community. I will be there to represent our Chamber, as well as all of the other Chambers of Commerce in the County, as the Chair of the Broward Council of Chambers. The Gala committee is working feverishly to make this year's Grand Gala sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital & U18 Sports Medicine a wonderful evening that benefits the Chamber's Education Foundation. The money raised from the auction provides much needed funding to the DECA and BPA programs (programs for business students) in our local high schools. The theme is "It's 5:00 Somewhere", the attire is 'tropical elegant' and the date is Friday, April 13th. Nomination forms for Small Business Leader of the Year for both Coral Springs and Coconut Creek, as well as the Covered Bridge Award will be going

We are looking for business partners to participate in a Job Shadow Day for selectstudents from our local high schools!

This is an opportunity for students to experience what a business owner orprofessional does on a daily basis. They will have the chance to walk through a part ofthe workday as a "shadow" to your local business, industry, or organization. They willwitness firsthand the work environment, employability, and occupational skills inpractice, the value of post-high school education, training and potential career options.Job shadowing is designed to reinforce the link between the high school classroomand work requirements.

For more information, please email Shirley Klein at [email protected] by Friday, February 23rd!
