Now that spring has FINALLY arrived, all of us at MainStreet Libertyville are excited to attendto the final preparations of many of our annual events. With Farmers Market and Lunch in thePark right around the corner followed shortly by the Golf Outing and the House Walk, we havea full slate of activities for all ages. As you see featured in this edition of the Gazette, sponsors,residential donations and business memberships fund MainStreet’s activities. Without thesegenerous contributions to our non-profit organization we would be unable to bring these experi-ences to the community. My heartfelt thanks to everyone that has donated to our organization.MainStreet also heavily relies on community members to donate their time as well;

volunteers almost exclusively operate our organization. One of our goals for this year is tohighlight the volunteer opportunities in the community so that more residents can get involved.Whether it is for a one-time event, like the House Walk, or helping out on a more regular basisby volunteering at the office, like Uncle Sam: We need You!To this purpose, MainStreet is launching a new website: VolunteerLibertyville.org. On this

FARMERS MARKET – Along with the return of many favorite vendors, the Market willintroduce beef jerky and candied bacon, pepper jams, dehydrated sweet potato treatsfor dogs and heart healthy, plant based, protein rich snacks. Enjoy breakfast in the Parkor coffee before shopping. Fresh never tasted so good!

CAR FUN ON 21 – Admire the classic cars and listen to music from a local band whilesavoring a favorite ice cream from My Flavor It! Place. A great night downtown!

HISTORIC HOME TOUR – See three uniquely different homes, including the 15,000 sq. ft.mansion, formerly known as St. Mary's Academy. To plan your day, homes are located onEast Rockland Road, St. Mary's Road, and Oak Spring Road, with street parking at each.

Advance tickets are $15, beginning May 1st at mainstreetlibertyville.org, or the MainStreetoffice. All tour booklets and wristbands will be distributed in Cook Park on the event day.Tickets will be available in the park for $20.

LUNCH IN THE PARK – Spend a summer afternoon in Cook Park! Bring your blanket orlawn chair and buy your lunch from Libertyville vendors. Local bands perform and weeklychildren’s entertainment provided.

SIDEWALK SALES – Bargains galore (inside and outside) from your favorite downtownmerchants.
