Idea of Sanda Euro Opens The idea of the Sanda Sanshou Euro-Open is based on the philosophy to raise theFighters in Europe to a good international standard and to extend our fighting horizont.Who are we: Schools from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Germany, Spain and France that have already been successfully practicing this fighting art for over 8 years.We fight and conform with the international rules of IWUF. according to the We areon the correct way, that show us rising fighter numbers, and always increasingcauses! This way we can offer international referees from all different countries at allSanda-Sanshou Euro- Open.The nationality of the fighters, the different style directions of the schools, thefederations and organizations do not matter. Important are the rules of the IWUF andthe equipment, which have to be to be adhered to at each tournament of this kind.Each association, federation, school etc.. Tournament can organise, its ownTournament without large editions with the exception of strict adherence to the rules.They can decide themselves on the extent of the tournament, the price money, thekind of price, shows or cups.What would we like to achieve with this?

- Equal opportunities and rights for everyone who engages himself in this kindof sport as we do without any stumbling blocks!- Good expandable contacts in other countries and schools, which have electedSANDA Sanshou. Possibilities: training camps, seminars, training as fightingreferee, tournaments, shows, etc.- Increased attractiveness of the tournaments, good for sponsors, media, publicand more fighters, international fighters/shows, larger public, incomeopportunities for the organisers.- An international Ranking list in the world discipline Sanda Sanshou. Points areassigned per category and rank: 1st rank = 50 Points, 2nd rank = 30 Points, 3rdrank = 20 Points and 4th rank = 10 points.- At the end of each year we do have one or more Euro-Open winners, which areable to win a cup as well as price money up to € 1000. --.The ranking list is regularly adjusted and can be looked at on the followinghomepage: www.pwka.euThe tournament advertisements, press reports, photos, contacts and addresses are keptup-to-date likewise.We look forward to many fighters and schools, which participate at the Euro-Open.No fighter is obliged to participate in any of the tournaments, but the moretournaments one participates the more points the can gain

RulesJust like in any martial arts does Sanda/Sanshou have contest regulations. The World Championship of Sanda have oriented the regulations after the international regulation of the Ewuf/Iwuf. Here are the most important guidelines:

protection (obligated protection equipment) competition area (8x8m. directly on the fround or on a 60cm elevated stage)

allowed techniques:

Foot - or jump kicks towards legs, body or face punches towards face or body Footsweep with/out turning, upright (Gou tui) or on the ground (Shao tui) Any throws

forbidden techniques

punches towards the back of the head, neck, articular and backbone attacks with the head, knee or ellbow lever techniques attacking the enemy while he/she is on the ground

victory:

a fight can be won either by K.O or because of points. Points will be given for various techniques.

REGISTRATIONS and TERMS OF PARTICIPATION To the SANDA COMPETITIONFor being admitted to the competition the athlete will have: To compile the module of registration To be enrolled or to be affiliated to an Agency of Sport Promotion that comprises one assurance against accidentsTo be in possession of valid medical certificate, therefore in rule with the enforced sanitary and insurance norms of lawIf the athlete is under-age the declaration must delivered from the parents Who participates to the Agonistic contests must introduce, obligatorily, pain the disqualification, the agonistic medical certificate that attests the suitability for the type of contest chosen, valid for the year in course. The certificate must be delivered from the society responsible before the beginning of the contest..
