Leduc Arts and Cultural Foundation Scholarships The Leduc Performing Arts & Cultural Foundation has created individual scholar-
ships to be awarded annually: Music Arts, (Media Electronic Arts), Visual Arts,
and the Robyn Elizabeth Galas (Brown) Performing Arts Award. Funds have been
provided by the estate of Florence MacKenzie, the Robyn Galas (Brown) Memorial
and the Alberta Lottery Fund Community Spirit Program. This year’s awards are

Royal Purple Award Awarded to the student with the highest average in five Grade 12 aca-

Governor General’s Medal Lord Dufferin, Canada’s third Governor General after
Confederation, created Academic Medals in 1873 to
encourage academic excellence across the nation. Over the
years, they have become the most prestigious award that
students in Canadian schools can receive.
The medal is awarded to the high school student with the
highest academic average in all of their 20 and 30 level
subjects including core, CTS, fine arts, second languages,
special projects and work experience. A supplemental
monetary award is provided by TLC Family Dental Centre.
