J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, formerly
known as YMCA University of Science and
Technology, has exerted a great deal of effort to promote the
Technical Education in the State and the
Country at large over the past five decades since its inception
as an IndoGerman project in 1969. An
Institution that had a humble beginning as a post diploma
institution famous for generating skilled technical
human resource for the industry has been elevated in 2009 as
University of Science and Technology to
further create competent human resource in diversified areas of
Science & Technology. The competence of the
University has been recognized at various levels by the agencies
like UGC (12B status), NAAC (Grade 'A'), NIRF
(best ranking amongst State Engineering Universities in Haryana)
and selection for TEQIP-III project and
RUSA Scheme of MHRD, Govt. of India. The University is named
after one of the greatest scientist from India,
Sh. Jagdish Chandra Bose, the great physicist who paved the for
modern world by inventing the radio waves
transmitter and receiver in 1895. His work served as the
founding stone for wireless communication i.e. WiFi,
radio, mobiles, and internet that we enjoy today. He was happy
to be underground to make the foundations
strong.

organizing a national level techno-digital fair full of fun,
competitions, workshops, learnings and
prizes going to be held on 17-18 Oct 2020 with a one way mission
to lead the students towards the
upcoming Digital Universe.
Digital Cell, JCBoseUST, YMCA Digital India is a campaign
launched by the Government of India to ensure that
Government services are made available to citizens
electronically by improving
online infrastructure, by increasing Internet connectivity and
by making the
country digitally empowered in the field of technology.
Digital India Cell was incepted in July 2015 which aims to
conduct Digital India
Events at the University level and works as a link between Govt.
initiatives and the
University. It also works to aware students and staff about the
Govt. Digital
Payment systems, Apps and other Digital Initiatives is also the
task of this cell.

Dr. Sameer Sahasrabudhe is the Director, Educational
Multimedia
Research Center (EMMRC), Pune, India. Prior to this, as a
Research
Scientist at IITBombay, he has contributed in the development
of
the Learner-Centric MOOC model at the IDP-ET; and
the IITBombayX platform at the Dept. of CSE, IIT Bombay. He
has
created many MOOCs having the learner-centric approach for
platforms such as: IITBombayX, edX and SWAYAM. His course on
3D
visualization and animation is subscribed by many, converted
to
an eBook, translated to other Indian languages, and was
shortlisted
for the edX prize 2019.
Dr. Sameer holds a PhD in Subject Communication (YCMOU);
Post
graduate Diplomas in Distance education (IGNOU) and
Animation
Film Making (ZICA Studios); and a Graduation in Fine Arts
(Government School of Arts). Apart from publishing widely in
the
research domain, he is an avid film maker and has bagged awards
at
various film festivals. He is an explorer of visual art
forms.
