We look forward to hosting media attending the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in the Netherlands. The event will be held from June 26 to July 5 in The Hague, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Rotterdam. This information will assist you in planning your trip to the Netherlands and to apply for media accreditation to cover the event. Every effort will be made to ensure journalists have all the appropriate facilities necessary to work at the event.
There are no official media hotels. It is the responsibility of the individual media persons to book their own accommodation.
The hotels listed below are recommended by the local tourist board
All members of the media wishing to attend the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships need to sign up to the FIVB Media Club via the online accreditation form available at: http://fivb.org/EN/Media/accreditation.asp . Already registered FIVB media Club members can log in with their username and password to their account to apply for credentials under “My Acrreditations” tab. All domestic accreditation requests can be managed here : http://www.fivb.org/EN/Media/login.asp Please contact the FIVB Press Department ([email protected]) for your personal login information. Accreditation passes and a media kit are issued at the Information Desk at the Media Centres in The Hague, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Rotterdam. The accreditation pass will be asked at each controlled entrance and will allowed you to have access to the specific venue.

Apeldoorn is conveniently situated in the centre of The Netherlands and can be reached easily by car or public transport. Apeldoorn is located next to two important highways of the Netherlands, the A1 and A50. Therefore it is easily reachable by car from, for example, The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Schiphol Airport. From Amsterdam/Schiphol it will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes and from The Hague and Rotterdam one and a half hour to get to Apeldoorn.
By public transportYou can also reach Apeldoorn by train. There are direct train connections to large cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Schiphol Airport. Once arrived in Apeldoorn, you can travel to almost every place within the city by bus. However, for those who want to go straight to Market Square, this is easily within walking distance of the central station.
