GUIDELINES FOR LMC USE

Passes are required for visiting the LMC. Exceptions are:

before school (7:30-7:50) after school (3:00-3:30)

Sign in and out at the Circulation Desk.

LMC SCHEDULEOpen 7:30 – 3:30 every school day

GUIDELINES FOR LMC USE

No backpacks allowed.Backpacks can be left along the entrance hall or behind the Circulation Desk.

Food and Drink are allowed at the tables that do not have computers.

Students must work quietly.

Computers are for school related use only.No personal email, shopping sites, games, etc…

Printing is limited to 3 pages. If you need to print more, ask first.

ACCELERATED READERAccelerated Reader books are located within each book classification. For example: fiction AR books are located in the fiction section; non-fiction AR books are located in the non-fiction section ; graphic novel AR books are located in the graphic novel section, etc…

Accelerated Reader books are labeled with colored dots. If a book does NOT have a colored dot, it is NOT an AR book. The colored dots represent the following levels:

YELLOW 2.0 – 2.9

ORANGE 3.0 – 3.9

GREEN 4.0 – 4.9

PINK 5.0 – 5.9

BLUE 6.0 – 6.9

RED 7.0 – 7.9

GRAY 8.0 – 8.9

PURPLE 9.0 – 9.9

BLACK 10.0 and above

ACCELERATED READER

Accelerated Reader quizzes can be taken in the LMC or in your English classroom. When taking quizzes in the LMC:Request a NEO2 at the Circulation Desk.Take your quiz (complete all steps so the report will print)

Return the NEO2 to the circulation deskConfirm that your report has printedAll reports will be given to your English teachers by the LMC staff

Remember to return your AR book.

•Students may use their smart phones, iPads, iPods, Kindles, Nooks, etc…. to access the online ebooks and audiobooks through the OverDrive program.

LMC FINES / RESTRICTIONSLate Charges = 5 cents daily

(excludes weekends and holidays)Excess Printing Charge = 5 cents per pageNo checkouts if an item is already overdueNo checkouts if you have a fine.Refusal to adhere to LMC rules will result in restriction of LMC use.Repeated discipline incidents will result in removal of LMC privileges.
