Development of a Low-Cost Approach Lighting System for FAA
Client: FAA DME Corporation – Navy MPP Objectives
Develop a low-cost approach lighting system (LCALS) that could be implemented in the future at U.S. airports by the FAA. This work included design, analysis, and testing of sequence flasher unit (SFU) and halogen light bar (HLB) prototypes.
Conduct design verification testing including Electromagnetic Interference, Photometric, and Environmental testing as per Military Standards.
