DIW– Progress so far

• Digital India National Launch by the Honourable PM is going to be held on the 1st July, 2015.

• Center / Places where event will be broadcasted simultaneously .

• Post State Level Event from : 2nd to 7th July , 2015.• States to broadcast Digital India National Launch by

Honourable PM program from 4pm -6pm at States Headquarters , Districts Headquarters , Gram Panchayat. etc.

Proposed format for Post State Level Event• Display e-Governance & Digital India Videos and promos of

launch products.• Launch of new eservices / portal and mobile applications and

other digital products of States. • Key notes address from Chief Ministers / Chief Guest’s IT

Secretaries.• Recognition and certificate distribution for key achievement in

e-Governance. • Awareness campaign for Digital India.• e-Marathon, e-Cycling events at states level.• Workshops on Cyber Hygiene , Digital Locker, e-Waste

Issues & Concerns• Date of Events , locations ,Venue , nodal officers

information is not available for more then 12 states.• For some states event planner does not reflect key

events for digital India Week at state & district level.(Chandigarh,Delhi,Bihar ,Lakshadweep).

• For few states events are conflicting with the National launch event of 1st July 2015.(Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh).

• For some of the states ,video quality for 2 Minute video provided by states of is of low quality. (West Bengal, Haryana).

Expectations from State Governments

• The state need to inform the date of the State Level Event ( any date from 2nd to 7th July,2015)

• Detailed information on events planned with Location, event flow, number of participants, venue , industry involvement, no of launches of new digital services , in charge officer, etc. to be provided as requested by DeitY.

• A 2 minute high definition film is shared by all the States by the target date

• Bank details of implementing agency ,drawing & disbursal officer, Account Number ,IFCSC Code etc.

• Funds requisition proposal from States.• To ensure that SIOs, & SeMTs are optimally in

planning and organizing Digital India Week events, monitoring and reporting.

Objectives• Soft launch the initiative of Digital India through social media • create a sense of patriotism and pride. • make the process of association with Digital India quick and easy Target audience• Net-connected urban and semi-urban population especially youth.Implementation• Campaign to be launched by Hon PM holding a placard that reads “I

support Digital India because …..”. The PMO twitter handle uploads that photo nominates.

• Nine influencers from are requested to support the cause. • Followed by promotion of the Digital India brand ambassador and social

media influencers.
