Call Digitising and transforming European industry and services The focus area aims to achieve: -enabling all sectors and application areas to adapt, transform and benefit from digitisation, notably by allowing also smaller and newer players to capture value; developing industrial strategies, including new business models, and leverage this major transformation to increase the competitiveness of EU industries and create new markets; connecting to Member States and regions in order to better align research and innovation agendas and develop synergies; - removing barriers for innovation enabled by digitisation, by addressing issues such as up- and cross-skilling, harmonising regulatory frameworks and standardisation.

Boosting the effectiveness of the Security Union The focus area aims to achieve: - reductions to loss of human life, environmental, economic and material damage from natural and man-made disasters, including from extreme weather events, organized crime and terrorism threats, through the development and adoption of innovative solutions.

Work Programme Updates
• ICT-14-2019 moved from 2019 to 2020 and is now ICT-14-2020: Co-designing Extreme Scale Demonstrators (EsD)
• The "ICT-24-2018-2019 - Next Generation Internet - An Open Internet Initiative" topic text will be updated this was already foreseen in the text of the current WP Strengthening internet trustworthiness with electronic identities Service and data portability Open Internet architecture renovation
• Two inducement prizes (first published in the 2016-2017 Work Programme) have been included in the 2019 Work Programme, as they still are under evaluation. They are:
"Online security – Seamless personal authentication" (4mEUR)
"Zero Power Water Infrastructure Monitoring" (2mEUR)
7 M € of which 80% Annex K
