Education in Canada is generally divided into- Primary education

Secondary education and

Post-secondary education.

Education is for the most part provided

publicly, funded and overseen by federal,

provincial, and local governments.

Education is compulsory up to the age of 16 in

every province in Canada.

• Canada is often associated with cold weather andsnow.

• Generally, Canadians enjoy four very distinct

seasons.

• Daytime summer temperatures can rise to 35°C

and higher, while lows of -25°C are not

uncommon in winter.

• More moderate temperatures are the norm in

spring and fall.

• Canada has a wide variety of landscapes; themountains, the prairies, lakes and rivers with

many national and provincial parks to protect

the habitats.

• There are more lakes and inland waters in

Canada than any other country, in fact 7.6% or755,180 sq km (291,577 sq) is made up of fresh

water.

Least pollution in Canada 

• Air, water and soil pollution as well as the health effects

associated with these three types of pollution, are

prominent points of contention in modern Canadian

society.

• Environment Canada works with businesses, industry,

other levels of government, non-governmental

organizations and citizens to manage and reduce

pollution and waste.
