Overall vision

• The overall vision for this video is to show a day in the life of a teenager. This will be done in non chronological order from waking up with no memory of the night before, to showing his flashbacks in a way that will make the audience feel as if they were following him throughout his night. The pace of the video will be fast, in keeping with the pace of the music to keep the video fun and entertaining

• Boy wakes up in a bath full of empty alcohol bottles the morning after a party, we will be using someones house to film our video.

• He starts to remember the night before & has flashbacks (some in the form of photographs), as he walks through different parts of the house

LOCATION

Shot Types• To begin with the shot types will be a mix of P.O.V, low

angle and canted to show the characters state of confusion.

• As the video progresses the contrast between different parts of the narrative become clearer. The events of the night before are shown through flash backs, some filmed and some in pictures. We will use the night to day tool on final cut express to make a clear distinction between the night before and the morning after. In one shot, the transition between present and past will be shown when the character looks into the bathroom mirror (closeup) and the camera zooms out to a longshot to show him in the same room and position, but the night before.

• Some shots of his flashbacks showing the party will be filmed in front of a green screen, with the main character in front and photos of the party edited in behind him, similar to 3oh3’s- ‘houseparty’

Genre• The genre of the song is pop rock

Casting

the main character will fit the stereotypical male teenager, dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, worn in and stained to show that he his waking up from an eventful night

Use of gender

• The main character in our video will be a typical male teenager. Gender representation will be shown through costume and how the character portrayed during the scenes of the party. The male characters will generally be rowdy, and out of control during these scenes and the females drunk and a bit slutty.

Target Audience

• Our target audience are teenagers who can relate to the events shown in the video as most people would have experienced waking up with a hangover and trying to remember the night before
