Relevance….north Korea in a historic period of transition (KJI to KJU)• Two major provocations in 2010 (Cheonan sinking & YP-do artillery attack)• Regime change requires legitimacy; MLCOA continue provocations
South Korea moving toward a hardened political, military, & social stance• Upper echelon national military leadership forced to resign (2x in 6 mos)• Public outcry; new ROK MINDEF: “if north Korea attacks again, we will definitely use aircraft to attack north Korea.”
This is an exceptionally dangerous time in Korea. This is not “business as usual.”

What does Blended Training (LVC-G) do for the Army?
• This training allows units to achieve high-fidelity training and OPLAN integration for Deployed/Contingency Expeditionary Forces or Regionally Aligned Brigades(DEF/CEF/RAB); Allows units to train in a Blended Training (Live, Virtual, Constructive and Gaming) environment using their Army Battle Command Systems vs. training systems.
• Demand signal for high resolution digital terrain where we will fight
• Connects Mission Command with Combined Arms Maneuver to maximize 21st Century home station training resources to achieve combat readiness
• Emulates the Common Operating Procedure – The map/system you fight is the map/system you train on at all echelons
• Increases the proficiency of Combined Arms Maneuver Commanders at echelon
• Enables units to plan, rehearse, and train on OPLAN based terrain
• Allows Cdrs to tailor training scenarios to their OPLAN based missions
• Achieves efficiency in allocation of resources
