✔ The outcome of the process feed into Council Resolutions approved by Member States.

The Process

The Structured Dialogue is organised into 18 month cycle, each cycle being divided into three 6 month phases, corresponding to the 6 month rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Each Trio Presidency chooses 1 overall thematic priority on which the cycle will be focusing, and on which young people and decision-makers will jointly prepare recommendations.

The Process

The Team Presidency engages in discussions with the European Commission and the European Youth Forum and holds an early consultation with the NWGs and INGYOs to define and elaborate the priority for the cycle, which is then approved by the Council of the EU

The Process

With the new process, instead of having recommendations after each phase of the cycle (3 times), we have one set of recommendations at the end of each cycle, which reflect a 18 month consultation process.

The Presidency country of the last phase holds the responsibility to promote the final joint Recommendations wherever possible, in all relevant sectors, at local and European level and presents them to the Council of the European Union.
