TAIL / TAG QUESTIONS

HOW DO WE FORM THEM:

Main sentence - positive verb - Tag – negative

They are in the kitchen, aren't they?

Main sentence - negative verb - Tag - positive

They aren't in the dining room, are they?

EXAMPLES

John is a student, isn't he?

Maria isn't a student, is she?

I am a student, am I not?/aren't I?

I am not a student, am I?

They are here, aren't they?

They aren't here, are they?

N.B. Always use PRONOUNS in the tag: She – NOT Maria !!!!
