• SALiS aims at promoting science teaching through a better inclusion of student-active experimental learning in science classes.
• The project intends to promote i.e. inquiry-type lab-work as one of the foundations of modern curricular and methodological approaches in science teaching.

Main Results
• The SALiS Curriculum and courses have been developed and implemented at the participating institutions.
• Materials related to the active teaching in science have been developed by different partners and have been adapted to the local needs/languages.
• The laboratories have been established/enhanced in all beneficiary institutions.
• The staff has been trained in order to be able to effectively and efficiently deliver the SALiS courses to the interested.
• The knowledge about the principles and rationale behind SALiS, namely active involvement of the students in teaching of science and usage of both traditional and low cost techniques in science experiments has been disseminated with the stakeholders.

Main Results
• The project has helped to further strengthen the position of the institutions in their countries as leaders in the education field.
• The laboratories equipped during the project enhance the attractiveness of the science teaching profession in the students. Besides, the labs are being shared with departments other than education in some institutions.
• Partnering institutions have formed long-standing relationships
