The Slavs are the biggest language family on the European continent encompass-ing around 312 million people, totalling more than 20 ethnic groups and counting 13 Slavonic countries. On an international scale, there are more than 360 million Slavs living around the world. They are the only cultural group in Europe whose coun-tries are situated in substantial numbers both inside and outside the boarders of the European Union having even the vast majority of its population outside of the EU boarders. This specific geographic position gives to the Slavs the potential of natural mediators in Europe between East and West and their cultural richness as well as cultural unity in diversity the role of natural cultural integrators of the Eastern part of the European continent.

The Slavonic Europe movement wants to highlight this potential and contribute to it. It wants to present the Unity of Mind & Emotion which lies at the hearth of the Slavonic culture and show its full variety. Without geographic or political bor-ders, the Slavonic Europe movement strives to emphasize the peaceful power of the Slavonic culture as well as its sense for community and endeavours to give back to the Slavs – and hence to whole Europe – their full identity.

Its main purpose is to give the floor to Slavonic thinkers and artists in order to reveal their Unity of Mind & Emotion as well as their sense of cultural cooperation as a specific feature of the Slavonic culture and togetherness. Based upon this unifying quality, Slavonic culture offers multiple ways to acquire humanity as mutual respect and mutual solidarity between individuals and nations – contributing to building up in our times a bridge between East and West and thus a more human and integrated Europe in the 21st century.

In this sense – inspired by Slavonic culture through presentations of spiritual, artistic and scientific creativity – Europe becomes a MASTERPIECE.

Slavonic Europe is a European initiative on Slavonic culture and innovation – a move-ment consisting in connecting Spirit & Arts – Mind & Emotion to acquire humanity as mutual respect and mutual solidarity while aiming at a threefold objective:

Creating Slavonic consciousness

To foster the inherent sense of Slavon-ic togetherness and to enhance among Slavonic nations the consciousness of their common cultural heritage and Slavonic identity: Only if its individual parts are stronger integrated, the whole European continent can be more inte-grated – Unity in Diversity.

Raising international awareness

It is the aim of Slavonic Europe to high-light to the other cultural groups in Eu-rope and around the world the Slavonic cultural richness, diversity and unmis-takable common streak attracting their interest and increasing mutual cooper-ation.

Building bridges across the continent

To contribute via cultural and scientific initiatives to a stronger consolidation of the Slavonic family in Europe and to build on these fix points bridges across the European continent between East and West – while the way to a European togetherness leads by Culture.

SLAVONIC EUROPE – 13 COUNTRIES MIND & EMOTION

Its motto calls on everybody:

CULTURE IS ENERGY!

In order to be able to achieve in an optimal way its fixed objectives, the Slavonic Europe project will need strategically designed and situated headquarters. It is for this reason that Slavonic Europe favours a specific and autonomous structure – the SLAVONIC HOUSE. It should be located at the heart of the European Quarter in Brussels and enable the Slavonic Europe project to deploy its maximal effectiveness: Conference and meeting rooms, Slavonic Concert Hall, business and administration offices, the Slavonic Library and the Slavonic Restaurant will become the pivotal points of the Slavonic Europe project in the middle of the Brussels European Area.

The Slavonic House will be the first phenomenon of its art and unique in the world: It will be the coordination and organisation centre of all Slavonic Europe cultural and scientific activities as well as the hosting place of Slavonic companies and as-sociations from all 14 Slavonic nations. In this sense, it will create important syner-gies between culture, science and business resulting in a mutual win-win situation. Moreover, the Slavonic House will open to the whole Slavonic community worldwide and host the Slavonic International Network – physically and virtually.

Finally, the Slavonic House will be a Slavonic Think Tank in Europe developing new and far reaching ideas and forward looking visions for the Slavonic people as well as the whole mankind contributing herewith to the evolution of the overall human-ity. An example might be the initiation and creation of the Slavonic Athletic Games (SAG) – a new international sports competition on purely individual and non-com-mercial basis inspired by the ancient Greek tradition.
