The recommendation hereby confirms the participation of Mr Karol Wysmyk in work on Rookie Festival that took place in Arsenal City Gallery in Poznan from 6th to 8th december 2012. Karol Wysmyk commited himself deeply into documenting all stages of the festival – the montage, the opening, the lecture and the exhibition. Afterwards, he processed all his photos and submitted them to the festival organizers.

CONFIRMATION OF CO-OPERATION AT ROOKIE FESTIVAL
Mr Karol Wysmyk from the 1st to the 8th December 2012 co-operated with Arsenal City Gallery while organizing the Artbook Rookie Festival. Mr Wysmyk demonstrated his interest, willin-gness and commitment to prepare the festival and he perfomed his tasks perfectly – prepara-tion of photographies of the whole event.

REFERENCES
Karol Wysmyk worked at two editions of Enter Music Festival in Poznan (2011, 2012). He demon-strated his conscientiousness, carefulness but also brightness and initiative.
He is a great observer which is proved by his photo reportages. He provided his photos from con-certs and preparations for the festival almost+ immediately. Thanks to his work dynamics I could instantly report the festival events on social portals and deliver his photos to the press.
Karol is also a tactful and gentle person which is a real advantage while working with artists and taking photos of their rehearsals or concerts. The people he takes photos of easily trust him and that direct contact is visible in presented photographs. This results in Karol’s idea: a photochronic-les of artists performing at the Festival. The photos taken backstage in a space arranged by him, a moment before the concert are those which have been awarded in Wielkopolska Press Contest.
I highly recommend Karol Wysmyk as a candidate for employment.

The Project involves presenting street photography in the city space, giving back the portrayed street to itself. The main feature that distiguishes the project among other artistic initiatives is the photo entrance into the city structure, presenting pictures in the exact place where there were taken.The concept assumes to be open to a large group of creators. Professional photographers as well as photo lovers who see a medium allowing free expression will be invited to take part in the project. The exposition of reporter and street photography regardless to professional or intermediate level of its authors will allow to present the topic of the city and its users on a multi-surface.The pictures presented in their natural environment enable us to see the city from the time perspective and take a look into its history. They ena-ble us to notice what is often unnoticeable or what we ignore while rushing through the streets and parks. The theme and the way of presenting it are the features of all the photographs. The works are dedicated to its “own” public place and the photographer’s attitude towards the object being photographed. All the photos are not directed which is a basic criteria while choosing them. Thanks to that they preserve their uniqueness and originality of street photography.
The place location depends on the works that have been submitted to participate in the project, however, it is limited to the exact city center of Poznan (Theatre Bridge – Liberty Square and St. Martin – The Old Market), at least at the beginning of the project development. Gathering the works in places close to city transport routes allows to show them to the large amounts of viewers and makes the project popular. Poznan AP-PCHANCE company is working on photoapplication for Starpin mobile devices that allow easy location of works on smartphone or tablet as well as acknowledging information about the author of the photo and project partners. Moreover, there will be a contest which involves mobile devices users to re-define the location as well as participate in virtual gallery of chosen spots.
In case of partners access to the project continuation it is possible to diversify the project and have 1-2 meetings a month in order to sum up the action in a short time. Short, evening exhibitions, meeting the photo authors, discussions on presenting the art/photography in the streets that may be held in cafes or clubs.
