    Badminton is a racket sport played by either two

    opponent players (singles) or two opponent pairs

    (doubles)

    The badminton court is rectangular and is dividedby a net

    Players score points by hitting a shuttlecock, so that

    it passes overthe net and lands on the other sideof the court.

    History of badminton

    In the 1860's the British army officers took the ideafrom India of a game called 'poona' and they took it

    to England where badminton was created.

    Badminton rackets are light, with quality racketsweighing 79 and 91 grams including the strings.

    Shuttlecocks

    A shuttlecock, also known as a shuttle and also

    known as a bird or a birdie is a projectile with an

    open conical shape.

    Badminton Court

    Badminton is played on a court marked by bothsingles and doubles matches. The doubles court is

    widerthan the singles court, but both are the

    same length. The doubles court is 6.10 metres wide and 13.40m

    long.

    The singles court is a little smaller (5.18m wide and13.40m long).

    The net is 1.55m high.

    Strokes

    SERVICE- The service is the most important aspectof the game used in every single rally, with high andlow serves.

    CLEAR- The forehand clear is used to force theopponent to the rearcourt.

    LOB- This shot is normally played from the forecourtin an underarm action.

    DROP- The drop shot is played above the head inthe same way as the clear but with less power.

    1. El partido se jugar al mejor de tres juegos.

    2. El jugador que primero consiga 21 puntos

    ganar el juego.

    3. Si hay empate a 20 puntos, ganar el primero

    que consiga 2 puntos de diferencia.

    El saque

    1. El servidor y el restador deben estar colocados dentro

    del cuadro de saque, diagonalmente opuesto sin

    FALTAS DURANTE EL JUEGO

    1. El volante cae fuera de los lmites del campo.

    4. Toca el techo.

    7. Se toca la red o sus soportes por el jugador o
