THE PROBLEM

• Use of XML and Java

• Zipping of files

THE SOLUTION

• Creation of the XML file

• Creation of behaviours

• Associate tags with them

• Editing the behaviours view

• All related files get zipped up

AUTHORING TOOL

• Simulates the “playing” of files

• Independent of hardware

• Loads an .rfid file

• Displays all tags and their behaviours

• Drag and drop one onto the RFID tag reader

• “Plays” the behaviour

SIMULATOR

• “Plays” the RFID files

• Relies on use of the RFID hardware and linked devices

• Links with the Simulator

RUNTIME PLAYER

• Generally successful

• Time plan was not followed very closely

• Issue with video compatibility with Java

• No major group working issues

• Suite can be used in a wide variety of areas

• For example, as part of an interactive museum exhibit
