Green Voice: what is it about?
The Brazilian ICVolunteers Desk is located in Rio de Janeiro and is hosted in conjunction with the local non-profit entity called Converdgencia.
The programs run in Rio and other parts of Brazil focus specifically on social environmental education.
ICVolunteers works with youngsters teaching them what they can do to act in a concrete manner against climate change and environmental destruction.

Socienvironmental Education
Aggressive behavior to the environment, misconceptions, for
the most part, were passed from generation to generation
both in the family, religious and school.
Were set up false standards by which nature is available to
be dominated and that man is the center of everything.
Today we know that we are only one link of a great chain.
The commitment of every citizen is thus to broaden the
perception of other people roasts on reality.
Socienvironmental Education
Most people live in cities. You must know and understand this environment so that we can understand the environmental pressures generated from it. Thus, we can expand the perception about the attitudinal changes that are necessary for us to achieve sustainability.
Cities Urban Ecosystems Occupy 2% of the surface Consume 75% of natural resources Produce 80% of pollution
Socienvironmental Education
“It's easier to disintegrate an atom than a prejudice”
Einstein
There is a principle in Human Ecology as the frog placed in a pan of hot water it will immediately, but if the water is cold and is heated gradually she is able to withstand high temperatures without outlining any response.
Socienvironmental Education
Often the environmental degradation occurs slowly, but continuous and growing. Thus,
humanity takes a long time to understand the threats and outline reactions.
Socienvironmental Education
Behavior generates behavior ...
... But behavior also changes behavior.
