• After race massage and food station at the Recovery Area beside the Finish Line.
Bike Check-In
IMPORTANT!!!The wristband will be used as athlete ID & must be worn
all the time.
The Race Chip will be handed out on Saturday at the
EXIT of the Check-In at Transition Area.
NOTE:
• Swim gear including your wetsuit, must
go inside your BLUE BAG and be hanged
back on your hook in T1.
• Bike shoes can be fixed on bike pedal
clips

RACE DAY
· IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca will be using a “Rolling Swim Start”.
· The athletes will leave in groups of 6 every 6 seconds.
· It will take approximately 60 minutes to get the entire field across the swim start line.
· Each athlete individual race time will start when they cross the swim start timing mat (under the swim start arch).
· The (on-shore) pre swim start area, will be self seeding based on an athletes predicted swim time for the 1,9 km course.
· Athletes will seed themselves into these zones based on predicted swim times.

according to your expected Swim

handling a similar pace will
enhance your comfort and
performance along the course.
• Swim Exit must be reached following the
Official Course.
• All athletes must cross over the timing mat
at the Swim Exit.
• If you Do Not Start the race or you Drop
Out before reaching the Swim Exit:
Communicate immediately to Medical
Staff, Official Staff or a Race Marshall
(Referee)
Failing to communicate will initiate an
Emergency Rescue Search to be paid by the
athlete.

· The Mount Line will be clearly visibleoutside of the Transition area.
TRANSITION AREA
· 1 lap x 90km
· Hilly and technical.
· Caution in the downhills, check the map
· Aid Stations:
· Discard bottles & wrappers ONLY at aid
stations.
· Toilets at aid stations – please use
them.

• BIB number required on the run. Racing without BIB number will result in disqualification.
• Yellow Card: 1 minute Stop-and-Go Time Penalty.
• Disc brakes are now allowed.
• Uniforms with a front zipper must not be undone below the point of the end of the breastbone (sternum).
• Ironman does not allow communication devices (cell, two-way radios, smart watches) out of course.
• Help from other athletes only allowed if it does not prevent the athlete from helping to continue the race. You are responsible to leave the material for help other athletes, not the organitzation.
• A tri suit may be worn underneath the wetsuit.

DRAFTING RULES
· The minimum distance between the bikes is
12 m, measuring from the front wheel of the
bike in front to the front wheel of the bike at the
back

· It is not permited to ride on the other side of the road= DISQUALIFIED
· Bib number must be worn on the run course. Failing to wear the bib number = DISQUALIFIED
· If you receive a penalty on the Bike course, you have to stop at the next penalty box
· Vest front zips cannot be opened below the end of the chest bone.
· It is forbidden to use headphones or any similar device.
· Providing assistance to another athlete is not allowed if it means giving away essential equipment to continue on the race.

WITHDRAWING FROM THE RACE
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you stop the race and quit, you have to inform a referee or stop by the information booth at
Transition Area!
PROTESTS & APPEALS
• Please check the results board at the
recovery area once you’ve finished.
• Penalties will be posted at the results board.
• If you have questions, ask the Officials
available at the recovery zone. (Registration
Tent)
• A referee will be available from 16:00 to
20:00 to manage protests/appeals.
Protests/Appeals will NOT be accepted
after 20:00 on race day
LOST & FOUND
• Where to collect Lost & Found items?
- From Thursday to Saturday: Info Point (Expo area) &Transition Area.
- Sunday: At Registration during the Awards Ceremony.
• Items that can be shipped*:
- Athlete bag (if it’s due to Factory defect and there arespare units – photo proof will be needed)
- Swim Cap (if yours it’s broken and there are spare units –photo proof will be needed)

SLOTS AGE GROUP
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
• Only Age‐Group Athletes are eligible to
receive Age‐Group World Championship
qualifying Slots. Athletes holding current
Professional or Elite status with any ITU
Member National Triathlon Governing Body,
WTC’s Pro Membership program or having
raced as an elite athlete in any
international events during the calendar
year, are not eligible for Age Group Slots.
Athletes may not at the time of the event,
nor at the time of the World Championship
event they have qualified for, hold
professional or elite status.
• Any change in an athletes status prior to
any event participation or a qualified
World Championship event must be disclosed
to WTC immediately. Failure of Athlete to
make such disclosure will be cause for
disqualification from such Event and may
result in sanction from WTC Events.
