Peter and John were going to the temple to pray. Outside of thetemple gates, a man who could not walk since birth was beggingfor money. Seeing Peter and John, he got their attention, andthey looked at him. Peter went to the man and said “I have no silver and gold, butwhat I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, rise up and walk!” Immediately, the man could walk! His legs and ankles becamestrong. The beggar got up and went into the temple, leaping anddancing, praising God. Everyone around was amazed that it was the same man whobegged outside of the temple every day. All of the people wentto Peter and John, wondering how they made the man walk.Peter told them all that he did not heal the man, it was by the
power of the Holy Spirit!
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you andme, just like Peter!
