Course Aim

Discover how Photoshop can be used to prepare images to make them more suitable for their eventual purpose.

Objectives

By the end of this session you should be able to:• Use appropriate tools to manipulate the size and

quality of an image, to suit its purpose.• Retouch an image to remove flaws, blemishes or

unwanted objects.• Adjust settings, such as contrast and brightness to

improve the appearance of an image.• Export and print images from Photoshop.• Use layers to alter images in a range of ways, for

example to add effects or combine images together.• Utilise selection tools to highlight, and use, specific

areas of an image.• Use transparency techniques to blend an image into

its surroundings.
