CPT - Common Proficiency Test

Common Proficiency Test is organised by the ICAI-The Institute of Charted Accounts Of

India and it is the basic level of exams of chartered Accountancy in India.

Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (Total Mark 60)

Section B: Mercantile Laws (Total Marks 60)

Session 2 (Total marks -100,Time limit-2 hours)Section C: General Economics (Total Marks 50)

Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( Total Marks 50)

Qualifying criteria in CPT Exam

Minimum of 30 % marks in each subject

An aggregate of 50% marks for passing CPT.

Special-0.25% of negative marking for each wrong answer.

Next milestone after clearing the CPT Exam-

Students are eligible to register for IPCC ,it is the next terminal of CA course.

Now the student is eligible to register for Group 1 and Group 2 papers.

After 9 months from the date of registration of the IPCC (Integrated ProfessionalCompetency Course).

The one week of Orientation Course.

IT training for 100 hrs.
