Step 2 – prepare supporting documents
Please ensure to provide all the required documents and they must be original.
□ Current passport
□ Previous passport if used to travel to the UK
□ Passports valid and signed
□ Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) (if you have one)
□ 2 recent photographs (less than 1 month old)
□ Police Registration Certificate (if you are required to register with the Police, ensure your UK
address is up to date)
□ Bank statements (either UK bank statement or from overseas) – see examples of supporting

**You must ensure that you are able to show the required level of funding in your account for 28
days prior to submitting your visa application.
□ Birth certificate (only if using parent’s bank statements )
□ Letter from parent, giving permission to use their funds (only if using parent’s bank statements)
□ Evidence of sponsorship, letters from your official financial sponsor or International Scholarship
Agency (if sponsored)
□ Previous certificate (Any documents listed on the CAS under the “Evidence used to obtain offer”
section)
□ SELT (if required – check your CAS)
□ ATAS (if required – check your CAS)
□ TB certificate (if required)
□ If any documents are not in English: an official translation (see the policy guidance for more
information regarding the requirements)

Step 4 – pay the visa fees online and print out your form
Step 5 – book and attend an appointment at a visa application centre
Step 6 – visa granted, check the details on your visa are correct and that you have been
given the correct length of visa.
