Key Learning AreasFrench class
In « Grande Section », in the French system, children enter the cycle of fundamental learning. They mainly improve their learning of oral language, start to discoverwritten language and numbers, learn how to structure time and space and improve their social relationships. Most of the work will be done through games and communication. We insist on the fact that your child will NOT learn to read in French this year.
SPECIALIST LESSONS
Physical Education (P.E), Library and Music are conducted by specialist teachers. PE for ½ an hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Library for ½ an hour on Thursdays and Fridays. Music for ½ an hour on Tuesdays.

TUCKSHOP ONLINE - 9 FEBOur school tuckshop will be going online this year. This
means that ordering your child's lunch will become so much easier.
Our school has teamed up with Munch Monitor to offer an easy to use online ordering system for parents and students. Parents will be ask to set up an account, submit orders online and the school tuckshop will deliver your child's lunches as they always have.
This fantastic service only cost $2.50 per family account per term (irrespective of the number of students on the account or how many times you place orders.) There are no other fees to Munch Monitor. Please look at the school website for further information.
UNIFORMS Please ensure your child is dressed in the
correct school uniform each day. If there is an issue and students are unable to wear correct uniform please inform us via a note or email.
Sports uniform is able to be worn on Fridays only.
A broad brimmed hat is an essential part of the daily uniform. “No hat, no play!”
Please mark all uniform items, hats and bags clearly with your child’s name.
HEALTH ISSUESPlease advise if your child has health issues to
ensure systems are in place from Day 1, e.g. epi-pens for anaphylaxis, or puffers for asthmatics.
Children who become ill during the day are sent to the office for monitoring. If required, the office staff will ring you to collect your child.
If your child is unwell we encourage you to please keep them at home to allow them to rest and recover quicker and to stop the spread of germs in our classroom.
Any medication your child may need while at school needs to be handed in at the office and a form completed.
