Buddy Program: Pair your child with a senior student who acts as a friend and mentor Provide regular opportunities for multi-age cooperative learning experiences that build confidence and positive attitudes about effort and its correlation to achievement Build a sense of this being a safe and orderly learning environment where learning happens every day and positive relationships are fostered Language Experience: Reference DET resources to paint picture of this learning and how it supports the English and mathematics curriculum – Grace’s powerpoint Supervised Play: Scaffolding that supports progress to independence in the yard – break times separate to rest of school, then at same time with prep teachers on duty, then same time and with other teachers on duty. Designated areas and support from senior school buddies.

Students for whom the school is the designated neighbourhood school.

Students with a sibling at the same permanent address who are attending the school at the same time.

Where the regional director has restricted the enrolment, students who reside nearest the school.

Students seeking enrolment on specific curriculum grounds.

All other students in order of closeness of their home to the school.

What’s Next . . .

We are currently taking enrolments for students for whom we are their local school and who have siblings already enrolled in the school

We are taking Expressions of Interest for those who live outside of our local area and these families are being placed on a Wait List

September/October – we will start the process of considering whether we have the capacity to take any enrollments from the Wait List

If students are enrolled from outside of the local area, this will be done in order of closeness of their home to our Designated Neighbourhood Area.
