  • You will need:

    Large mixing bowl

    Small mixing bowls (optional)

    Food colouring (optional)

    Measuring cup

    2 cups plain flour

    1.5 cups warm water

    1 cup salt

    2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons cream of tartar Steps:

    1. Mix flour, oil, cream of tartar and salt together in large bowl.

    2. Add 2-3 drops of food colouring to whole mixture or separate into smaller portions to create different colours. You may even like to mix primary colours. For example, red and blue to make purple play dough.

    3. Stand until cool. 4. Knead until soft, light and malleable,

not sticky at all. If sticky, add more flour.

    5. Store in airtight container so play dough doesn’t dry out.

    Option 3: Recreate a Masterpiece

    Reflection:

How did this make you feel?

Which of the two techniques did you like best? Why?

Could you try these at home by yourself when you are getting ready to sleep?
