Continuous image quality, fidelity and consistency

CORONIS® 1MP - CORONIS® 2MP

CORONIS® 1MP and 2MP offer excellent image quality for a multitude of medical environments, including PACS, computed tomography, MRI and angiography. CORONIS®

1MP, Barco’s 18.1" grayscale flat panel display with 1280 x 1024 resolution, complieswith the DICOM/CIE viewing standards, which means that it features correct grayscaletracking over the total luminance range as specified in the ACR/NEMA and DIN standards.

CORONIS® 1MP and 2MP feature both digital and analog inputs. For use in legacy applications with analog signals, the flat panel displays are also available as stand-alone units. Their accurate signal conversion and high brightness make them the perfect solution to upgrade existing CRT-based systems with state-of-the-art technology. CORONIS® 1MP and 2MP can be combined with Barco’s Portrait Accelerator,which eliminates software-related application slow-downs in portrait viewing andassures full performance in portrait mode.

CORONIS® 2MP (1600 x 1200 resolution) offers softcopy performance without compromise. The system’s short response time and high on-axis contrast ratio makeit ideally suited to display moving images. Barco’s CORONIS® 2MP display system features IPS (In Plane Switching). This technology provides enhanced viewing anglecharacteristics, making it easier for an additional radiologist to aid in the diagnosisfrom a different viewing position.

CORONIS® 3MP

CORONIS® 3MP features a 20.8" grayscale flat panel with a resolutionof 1536 x 2048 for perfect image representation. With a contrast ratioof 600:1 and high luminance, CORONIS® 3MP offers medical professionals a highly accurate solution for a host of medical imaging applications including PACS, computed tomography, MRI,angiography and chest radiology. The 3MP display system can beused both in dark reading rooms as well as in ambient light environments. The integrated CORONIS® Portrait Accelerator assures fullperformance in portrait mode.

It is Barco's belief that a medical display system should provide 100% ofits 'as-new' performance during itsentire lifetime. That is why CORONIS®

3MP is available with DURALIGHT®, a revolutionary backlight technology.Compared to conventional ColdCathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL), theaverage lifetime of DURALIGHT®

backlights is prolonged by a factor of 3to 5, without increasing power consumption. This means that there isno need to replace the backlight duringthe life span of the medical display,which substantially reduces the system’s cost of ownership. Barco’sunique DURALIGHT® backlights are available in BlueBase and ClearBaseviewing modes and come with a 5 yearwarranty.
