Choose CarefullyBY SHALLA MELTON AND MEGAN BROWN PHOTOS BY EYE SUGAR PHOTOGRAPHY

1. NOT VALUING THE IMPORTANCE OF PHOTOGRAPHY ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. The amount of time and investment you have put into your photography package should reflect how important your photos are to you. Budget accordingly. You will never regret spending money on a great photographer, but you will regret not having amazing images of your wedding day. After your wedding ceremony is over, the food is gone, the flowers have wilted and the party ends, you are only left with three things: your dress, your ring, and your wedding photos. Let’s hope those photos have captured the excitement and emotion of the day!

2. NOT HIRING A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER. If you read #1, then this one is obvious. Your friend might have a great camera, but not knowing the ins and outs of getting the shot, lighting and handling the stress of a long wedding day can lead to disaster. Make sure your photographer is experienced and has the ability to consistently capture the moments of your wedding no matter what situations may arise. Truly amazing wedding photography is an investment. Remember the old adage, ‘you get what you pay for’? It’s 100% true.

3. NOT FINDING OUT IF YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER IS THE PERFECT FIT FOR YOU. We recommend that you set-up interviews with photographers to help you find the perfect fit for your wedding day. Ask to meet the person who will actually take your pictures as some studios have large teams and you may be matched with a back-up shooter if their lead photographers are already booked for that day. It is important to

make sure that the photographer you select can capture the style in which you would like to have your day remembered. Ask to view several of the photographer’s full wedding albums as anyone (even your 90-year-old grandmother) can get one or two great images when taking thousands. Make sure the entire wedding looks just as fabulous as the few images you saw on the photographer’s website. Don’t forget personality; your photographer should make the process fun and not feel like a chore. Do you need someone with high energy or do you want a wall flower? Remember, it is important that you actually enjoy your wedding photographer as you will be spending just as much time with him or her as with your groom on your wedding day.

4. GETTING CAUGHT UP IN PHOTOGRAPHY TRENDS. Classic photography stands the test of time and is valued by generation after generation. Trends come and go. If your photographer is heavily embedded in the trend-of-the-moment, then you may find yourself less than satisfied with your wedding images next year. Your photographer’s images should look great straight out of the camera. If your photographer has to spend oodles of time manipulating each image to make them look great (also known as photoshoptography), then you should question whether he or she will be able to do that to the hundreds of images from your wedding day.

5. WAITING TOO LONG TO BOOK A PHOTOGRAPHER. Once you find the perfect photographer, don’t wait to book him or her. Good photographers book a year or more in advance. This is especially true if you are a September or October bride.

Watch out for the top 10 mistakes that brides make with wedding photography

Hair & Make-upBY EDWARD D SHARON, JR.

12 Months Before the WeddingMost stylists do not specialize in the intricacies

of design and dressing hair for formal events. You should interview salons and stylists and find the ones that regularly perform bridal services and who have a reputation in the community for this type of work. Look for a stylist who’s not only talented, but patient and creative.

9 Months OutAfter choosing a salon and stylist, book a

consultation. Be prepared to discuss how you visualize the look for your wedding. This goes beyond a picture of the dress and veil. You need to decide the color, length, texture and particular style that can be realistically achieved.

If length and thickness or volume can’t be achieved with your natural hair, talk to your stylist about using hair extensions. If budget is a concern, keep in mind that extensions can add another $1,000 to the overall cost. Other options include adding false/forms to the hair to increase volume and scheduling thermal keratin treatments to smooth down unruly hair.

The key is to book the wedding party NOW. Brides or planners should call as early as possible to book any party of four or more people. Salons need to plan for success. Today’s quality stylists are typically “booked up” eight weeks in advance. Remember that most weddings occur on Friday evenings and Saturdays, so those are the two busiest days in the salons.

Plan on up styles and makeup each taking an hour. Know when your bridal party’s hair and makeup must be fully completed and communicate that to your stylist. Factor in drive time to your next destination. Add another 30 minutes to any estimation. Surprises do come up and remember it is a mutual goal of both the bridal party and the stylists to achieve perfect hair for the photographs. It takes time to achieve this goal.

6 Months OutContinue your stylist’s maintenance program.

The worst thing to do at this point is to change salons. Even if a stylist leaves a salon, a quality salon will have a “back up” bridal stylist as well as detailed notes on the goals of the bride.

3 Months OutMany brides will want to have an “island glow”

or tanned skin look for their wedding pictures. It is at the three month mark that most people will want to start to tan indoors under the guidance and supervision of a salon so you don’t over expose the skin. Another alternative which is very popular is airbrush/spray-on tanning. This is a healthier alternative to UV light and can be combined with traditional bed tanning to give an even tone.

It’s time to start thinking of hair accessories for the bridal attendants. Flowers, jewels, and even headbands can dramatically alter the look.

1 Month OutPlan to have your trial up style and makeup

done the same day as your final dress fitting; this way you can see your completed look and make any necessary changes. It’s a great idea to have the bridal party start to save pictures of hair and makeup that inspires them. All should use a product like OPI Nail Envy to strengthen and grow the natural nails in time for the big day.

Week of the WeddingThe week before your wedding can be the most

hectic and stressful week of your life. Plan on taking an entire day to have final ancillary services like a shellac manicure, pedicure, teeth whitening, waxing and hair color done prior to the wedding day. Only up styles and makeup should be done on your big day. B

An important detail often overlooked by brides.

Brides spend countless hours and thousands of dollars on the details of their big day – from choosing the right wedding dress to hiring the right photographer. Unfortunately, one important element often gets overlooked: planning for hair and makeup. The following is a suggested timeline for that perfect look on your wedding day.

Page 12: Premier Bride of New England

Going GreenThe locale - Choosing a location that’s close

to where most of your guests live is an obvious, simple but effective way to limit unnecessary transportation, as is having the ceremony and reception in the same place. You may also wish to seek out sites that have made “going green” a priority, and are pro-active about reducing energy use and waste. Another green idea is to hold your ceremony in a location already dedicated to sustainability, such as parks, protected areas or museums. Finally, having an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful setting will remind you (and your guests) why you make environmentally responsible choices.

The food - Serve local, organic, seasonal cuisine, and include a vegetarian or vegan option. Ask your caterer about locally raised, organic meats and wild caught fish versus farmed. Before the wedding, research places to donate any leftover food, such as homeless shelters or soup kitchens.

The paper - Save trees by going high-tech: use a website to list directions, maps, accommodations and other details, and use email whenever possible. For the paper you do use, stick with 100% recycled and renewable cotton paper, and vegetable or soy inks, which use less energy to produce than petroleum-based inks.

The attire - Just say “NO!” to attire made in sweatshops and petroleum-based fabrics. Seek out wedding attire made with natural fabrics such as 100% silk or organically grown cotton, and hemp linen – which has come a long way since the gunny sack look. (For proof, visit the Hemp Weddings section of rawganique.com.) Another very green idea: recycle! Use your Mom’s wedding dress by investing a little time into alterations, or find a vintage dress in specialty stores or on eBay.

Throwing birdseed? - Standard birdseed mixes can include seeds for invasive plants that are not native to your area. If your wedding is in the city, or if you’ll be surrounded by manicured, non-wild

yards, this is not a problem. If you’re in a natural spot such as a nature preserve or state park however, this could create problems in that ecosystem. In these cases, find eco-friendly alternatives such as blowing bubbles, ringing bells or tossing petals. Or, keep it simple, and let the chorus of loved ones shower their love and joy upon you as you leave the church.

The gifts, favors, flowers - All those beautiful touches that make weddings special and unique can easily be turned green… and your first stop should be to idofoundation.org. Here you can include charitable donations on your gift registry, donate a percentage of gift registry sales to your favorite charity, and make a charitable donation in your guests’ honor in lieu of wedding favors. When it comes to your wedding flowers, find a floral designer that uses local, organically grown, seasonal flowers, and repurpose the ceremony flowers for the reception to make fewer flowers go farther. (This is also nice for your budget!) The day after the wedding, donate the floral arrangements to places such as nursing homes, hospice centers or hospitals, so others can enjoy nature’s beauty and all those gorgeous flowers don’t end up in the trash!

The honeymoon - Certainly, staying close to home avoids those gas-guzzling airplanes, but if travel is in your future consider a “green hotel” – environmentally-friendly properties. Start the search by visiting greenhotels.com. Another idea: consider ecotourism – socially responsible travel that focuses on conserving the environment and improving the well being of local people. Visit ecotourism.org for more information.

Get help - If going green is a big priority to you, consider hiring an eco-event planner, a specialist in green weddings. They will make your life easier, know the right vendors, get the job done and save you time, money, worry and stress – all while saving the planet. B

Can you have a joy-filled wedding celebration and show your love for the planet, at the same time? While this may sound like “The Odd Couple,” it’s not as hard as you think! Read on for some great ways to incorporate eco-friendly touches into your special day.

With just a little creativity, thought and research, your wedding can reflect the earth-loving couple that you are!

Transportation MotivationOften an after-thought, transportation is one of

the single most important details of your wedding day, and its surrounding festivities. We recently sat with Heather Campbell MacKay, Events Coordinator with Grace Limousine, to gather some insight on the importance of choosing reliable transportation.

PREMIER BRIDE: Are there any common misconceptions surrounding wedding transportation?

HEATHER: Yes, absolutely! Often couples will assume that they do not need transportation if their ceremony and reception are being held at the same location. There are many other aspects of transportation that need to be considered. For instance, will they need guest shutting from a local hotel? Will they need bachelor/bachelorette party transportation? Honeymoon transportation to and from the airport? They may also want to consider providing safe transportation for the rehearsal dinner. Wedding festivities and drinking often go hand in hand, and couples should consider the importance of safety. Peace of mind is priceless, yet affordable!

PREMIER BRIDE: You seem to be stressing the importance of guest shuttling. Can you give us an idea of how that might work?

HEATHER: Of course. To start, I like to get an idea of the potential number of guests that might use the

transportation. Next, I want to find out where most of the guests are staying and where the wedding venue is located. Depending on the number of passengers, Grace Limousine can offer vans, luxury limo coaches, or motor coaches to accommodate groups of any size. Van service starts at around $300, and coach service varies depending on times and locations. Once I have the basic details, I do some homework and get back to them with a shuttling plan that will fit their budget. If the couple is offering an open bar for guests, they really need to have shuttling so that their guests can be transported safely following the reception.

PREMIER BRIDE: Why should the couple call you to book the large shuttling vehicles, versus calling the motor coach companies directly?

HEATHER: That is such a great question. At my company, Grace Limousine, we have been setting the standard for wedding transportation for the last 23 years. When we partner with another company, for instance a motor coach company, we are putting our name on the service. Over the years, we have used several companies in the area, and we are very aware of the ones that provide service to meet our standards. These companies offer us a discounted rate, which we are pleased to be able to pass on to the client. B

What moves you to provide reliable transportation for your wedding party & guests?

Jess & JohnBY JESS BRODIE

It was 2001 and the first weekend of my freshman year at the University of New Hampshire. I’d moved into my room in Christiansen, the freshman-only dorm. I met the other girls on my floor and we were hanging out when a group of three guys walked down our hallway and introduced themselves. Little did I know at the time, but I was introduced to the guy who would become my future husband, John Brodie, along with his good friend, Bryan Corrigan, who would be the best man in our wedding.

While at school we did all the typical things that college couples did: drink beer, go to parties, never sleep, argue, etc. We also shared a love of the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, hiking, wakeboarding, riding horses, and more. We did not know it then, but during those four years we built an amazing foundation for our relationship to last the rest of our lives.

John and I both graduated college in 2005. After graduation we ended up doing what most college students do now-a-days and moved back home! Surprise mom and dad! We both got jobs and started our “real” lives together, only apart. John lived in Pelham, NH and I lived in Plainville, MA. We spent every weekend together doing the things we loved, while we worked and did our own things during the week. We originally thought this life scenario was temporary, but temporary ended up turning into five years. Those five years ended up being some of the best five years of our lives though. We hiked at least half of the New England 4,000 footers in one summer, took up road biking together, skied at almost every

mountain in New England, and many more great adventures!

As time went by, people started asking us the inevitable question, “When are you two FINALLY going to get married?” The truth is though, John and I knew we loved each other but were not rushing into marriage for a few reasons. 1) We were poor, and 2) We wanted to wait until the time was right for us. Every couple is different and we simply wanted to enjoy our lives together while we were young in our 20’s before we “settled down” together for the rest of our lives.

After ten years of dating, John and I decided to buy a house together in May, 2011. Closing on our first house was amazing, but John soon had an even bigger surprise for me. The first night in our new house we had a pizza picnic on the living room floor with our dog since we had no furniture. After dinner John surprised me with the sweetest and most heartfelt proposal! Friends always joked that John would probably propose to me on top of a mountain; but, asking me on the first night in our new house together was such a surprise and so very special. I will remember that moment for the rest of my life.

So there we were, engaged in the spring of 2011 and planning our wedding. John and I wanted a wedding location that would represent our relationship and the type of people we are. We wanted a beautiful, quiet setting in the mountains, with reasonably priced hotels on site for all guests and fun things to do nearby that would keep our guests busy. We knew we wanted to get married in New Hampshire

where we met, but wondered if we would be able to find the perfect location that was also affordable. We spent the entire summer of 2011 touring various wedding facilities around the state. We looked into venues from UNH, to Lake Winnipesaukee, and all the way up past Mt. Washington. It was actually the last stop on our list that we would end up choosing for wedding location. Waterville Valley, NH.

Waterville Valley is truly like a small fantasy land. It is beautiful year round, convenient to get to, yet far enough away, and has the friendliest people in town. It is different from most ski resort wedding venues because of the amazing village in the town’s center. Getting married in Waterville Valley is like having your own magical, mountain village for an entire weekend for you and all your guests. John and I were blown away with the number of options available to us when we met with the wedding coordinator on our first tour. We knew we had found the perfect place to say our vows to one another!

From planning the menu, to organizing the seating chart, the staff at Waterville Valley helped us every step of the way. They helped make our wedding OUR wedding and a weekend we will never forget.

Whitney Meister, Waterville Resort’s Wedding Coordinator, was an enormous help to John and I during the year leading up to our wedding. Prior to being engaged I was a horse riding, mountain hiking, skiing girl who knew nothing about weddings aside from being a professional wedding guest. Whitney helped me every step of the way with checklists, outlines, and tips on what to do next. She was so easy to work with and was always there when we needed something. I realized through the planning process that the people you work with at your wedding venue can truly make the most amazing difference on your actual wedding day. The entire staff at Waterville Valley made our day truly special.

After a year of planning, preparation, and excitement our wedding day had arrived. From the moment we arrived at the resort on the Thursday before our wedding to when we left on Sunday, everyone at Waterville Valley made us feel like the king and queen of the town. Whitney helped us with all our decorations, planning, and anything else we needed throughout the entire weekend. John and I felt so blessed to be surrounded by all the friends and family we were close to in such a beautiful and magical place. It was truly everything we had hoped for in a wedding venue and Whitney and her staff made it possible to spend time with all our guests instead of stressing over the details.

John and I were able to be married on the side of a mountain as we had always d r e a m e d of. Shuttles transported our guests to the side of Snows Mountain, which provided the most amazing vista overlooking Waterville Valley, where exchanged our vows and ultimately started our lives together.

The most amazing thing about Waterville Valley and why we chose it as our wedding venue is that it is not just a venue; it is a special place that will always be there. The town and the mountain will forever mark the start of our lives together.

Our wedding day turned out to be truly amazing and everything we could have asked for after dating for ten years. From the ceremony, to the reception, to the cake cutting, to the dancing, and to the after party, Whitney and the rest of the Waterville Valley staff made our wedding not just a special day, but an entire weekend of special memories that John and I and our guests will remember forever. We received so many great compliments from our guests after our wedding about the location and the overall setting and flow. We truly must thank Waterville Valley, Whitney and her staff, and all the local businesses in town for all of their hard work. Every wedding day will be special for those getting married, but ours turned out to be magical and we are forever grateful to everyone that was involved!

1 Do take advantage of Internet technology. Plan your wedding using search engines and e-mail to create your special celebration. There are several Internet sites dedicated to wedding planning that allow you to take advantage of the wealth of information at your fingertips. (Visit our website at www.premierbride.com, for more help). Coordinate with vendors, make and confirm reservations, select flowers and review menus online.2 Don’t seat older guests near the band or the speakers as it may be hard for them to hear anything else.3 Don’t forget to pamper yourself. Treat your mom and maids the day before the wedding with an afternoon at the spa. You’ll enjoy facials, massages, manicures and pedicures. It will make you feel more relaxed and beautiful.4 Do contact the church or synagogue where you will perform your ceremony and ask about any rules or guidelines regarding music. Some require that you use their organist.5 Do remember your guests with small children. Instead of putting “no children” or “adults-only reception” on invitations, ask your reception site manager if there is a small room or play area near the festivities that you can rent. Then hire a professional babysitting service to take care of the kids. Parents will appreciate your consideration and be able to relax and enjoy your reception knowing they are close to their children.6 Don’t forget to involve stepparents in your ceremony in some way, perhaps a reading during your ceremony or an invocation before dinner.

7 Do remember when purchasing a gown to be realistic about your expectations for losing weight. A gown can always be taken in, but rarely can it be let out without leaving stitch marks for all to see.8 Do consider table visits during your reception. It is a grand display of appreciation and respect when the bride and groom spend a few moments visiting their guests at each table.9 Looking for a gift for your wedding party? Do consider a monogrammed piece of estate silver, such as a flask for the groomsmen or make-up compacts for the maids.10 Do consider decorating chairs in a new way such as black, silver, white or traditional gold. Transform an ordinary room or site into a ballroom. Chair covers completely change the look of your reception.11 When discussing photo packages, don’t forget black and white and sepia tones. This classic style of photography continues to gain in popularity.12 Do remember that the hour of the ceremony is an indicator of the formality of the reception.13 Do consider having your entire wedding at a full-service hotel. The convenience of having the ceremony, reception and guest lodging in one place is incomparable, especially for a complicated event. 14 When renting a stretch limo, do remember that it can usually seat up to 10 people, but fewer when the bride’s gown and train and the bridesmaid’s dresses are factored in to the equation.15 Do remember to return rental items on time and undamaged.

16 To get your skin in shape for your wedding day, don’t forget to start six months prior to your wedding and practice make-up techniques.17 Don’t forget that the best way to let people know where you are registered is to have family and friends spread the word. Although it’s impolite to mention the registry on wedding invitations, a hostess may do so on shower invitations.18 Do select the ceremony and reception locations nine to 12 months before your wedding. If you’re getting married in popular months like May or June, select these locations as soon as possible.19 Make finding the right caterer and baker a priority. Great food is critical to the wedding celebration. Interviews and tastings are a must.20 Don’t waste time getting to your reception. Have photos of the wedding party taken before the ceremony.21 Do reserve your photographer nine to 12 months before your wedding. Decide which shots you definitely want and which ones you can live without.22 Don’t forget to send an invitation to your officiant and to all of your wedding party.23 Do pick up your invitation envelopes as soon as possible so that you can begin addressing them.24 Do consider having two bouquets, one to keep and one to throw.25 Do check with your church or temple about their policies, especially regarding alcohol.

Gone are the days of the bride’s family paying for the wedding. For now, it’s more like whoever has it, usually pays, even if it’s the couple themselves. As the average age of couples who are getting married rises, this is beginning to happen more and more. However, even as traditions change, it is useful to know what your family should expect.

Following are examples of how financial obligations have been traditionally distributed. Remember, though, that by making a financial contribution, some family members may feel entitled to contribute to the planning, too. Your family, and your ability to deal with their input, will largely determine how much tradition you keep and how much you ignore.

The busy fall months book up first for photographers in New England. It is crushing to finally find the photographer of your dreams only to find out they just booked your date last week. An added bonus for booking early is that many photographers offer early booking discounts or bonus items. They also can help recommend other wedding vendors, which can save you time and in some cases money due to referral discounts.

6. FORGOING AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT. Engagement shoots should be fun! They are an excuse to dress up, hug, smooch, and go out on a hot date with your man. But the best part of an engagement shoot is that you and your fiancé can get comfortable in front of the lens in a no stress atmosphere. Your photographer will help you find the angles where you look best and help you learn the poses that are their staple favorites for couples, which means moving faster on your wedding day and cutting down on the open bar time during cocktail hour! Most guys hate getting their picture taken, so hopefully you have found a photographer that will make it a fun experience and leave you both excited about the amazing images they will capture on your wedding day.

7. OVERWHELMING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER WITH IDEAS. You hired your photographer based on their talent and creativeness. Trust them! It is always nice to hear from clients about a new image that they saw in a magazine or blog, but overwhelming your photographer’s inbox on a regular basis is not productive. Be realistic in what you can accomplish in the time you have allotted your photographer. Accomplishing your entire pin board of every image you have ever seen is nearly impossible. If you trust your photographer’s style, then let them run free. When your photographer is inspired to come up with something new and exciting it gets them more pumped to capture your unique wedding day!

8. ASSUMING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER KNOWS WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. Let your photographer know the key people in your life and who has helped make your day so special. Your photographer knows that you would like a photo with your parents and your grandparents, but does your photographer know the other important people who should be a part of your family photo time? Provide a list of all of your family combinations that should be captured. Don’t forget to mention anything out of the norm like your divorced parents who refuse to be photographed together. And don’t forget the details. While most photographers will take photos of your wedding favors, if your sister handmade them, then let your photographer know so he or she can capture her in the midst of all her hard work. Bring an extra invitation. Let your photographer know of any heirlooms that are part of your day. Tell your photographer about anything else that is important to you and your immediate family.

9. NOT CREATING A TIMELINE FOR PHOTOS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. Most likely you have selected a wedding package that includes a set number of hours for your wedding photographer. It is imperative that you determine what your priorities are in that time frame. Would you like them to capture you getting ready? The final dance and goodbye? Are there moments you could live without? If you haven’t created this timeline, there is a chance your photographer could depart before something important happens that you really wanted them to capture. That list of group photos referred

to in #8 will help you determine how much time to allot for family photos. Most importantly, stick to your timeline. Timing is very important for lighting. If you want outdoor photos, running an hour late can make or break your images.

10. SKIPPING A FIRST LOOK. Last but not least is skipping the first look (aka taking your couple photos before the ceremony). A ‘first look’ is so much better than trying to rush your portraits after the ceremony, especially if your ceremony runs a bit over (and most do). First look sessions help you get the jitters out, allow you to touch and tell each other just how fabulous you each look, and get that ugly cry out of the way. Don’t worry. You will still feel all the excitement and awe of walking down the aisle....you’ll just feel a little more relaxed. The first look can be intimate with just the two of you (and the camera) or include your family and friends. Now that you have seen each other at the first look shoot, you get as much time as you want to pull off those amazing couple shots that you have been waiting for. Bon-site Viaggio Spa on your wedding day, and let the Mountain Club on Loon Wedding Suite Team take care of all the details.

Couples seeking breathtaking backdrops for the moment they say “I do” will find Sandals Resorts offers a range of stunning locations to choose from. To help brides and grooms organize the details of a destination wedding that is uniquely theirs, the luxury brand has also debuted the Sandals Destination Wedding Designer, a cutting-edge online design tool. The Sandals Destination Wedding Designer is simple to use and offers a plethora of ideas. Couples begin by building their profile and selecting their wedding location, among the four Caribbean islands where Sandals properties are located. Using the Sandals Destination Wedding Designer’s interactive tool, couples choose their color palette from ten distinct shades, including a variety of corals, pinks, blues and greens.

After selecting a palette, couples can easily browse through over 1,000 wedding ideas for flowers, decor, wedding cakes, entertainment, and more. Traditional or tropical? Modern or romantic? Every design style has been included to give couples unlimited options and help them find what they’re looking for, down to the last detail. Sandals even offers six expertly designed decor themes that couples can select or customize as they wish.

Curated galleries within the Sandals Destination Wedding Designer cover every facet of the wedding: bouquets and boutonnieres, ceremony details, reception, cakes, specialty dinners and bars, photography and videography packages, and bridal salon appointments for pre-wedding beauty treatments. With endless options to choose from, brides and grooms can also enhance their guests’ experience with a variety of creative decor and entertainment options, including fire dancers, tiki torches, candy buffets and steel drum bands. After they’ve created their ideal dream wedding, couples can even share their vision with family and friends.

Designed for two people in love and home to 14 luxurious resorts, the couples-only properties are located in four distinct Caribbean islands-Jamaica, Antigua, Saint Lucia and the Bahamas. Family-owned Sandals Resorts has long been recognized as a leader of destination weddings. Throughout the company’s 31 years in the industry, it has introduced several innovative ideas including it’s exclusive WeddingMoons® the concept of celebrating your wedding and honeymoon in the same beautiful location.

Situated on some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Sandals® Resorts has earned a worldwide reputation for providing the most romantic vacation experience in the Caribbean.

In addition to offering a fully customizable destination wedding, Sandals provides couples with the essential expertise of personal wedding planners to help them plan every detail of their ceremony and reception-including decor options, venue choices and even honeymoon add-ons. And when the big day arrives, the resort provides an onproperty wedding team to ensure every detail of their wedding celebration is meticulously carried out to the couples’ specifications.

Couples staying 6 nights or longer enjoy the option of a free Beautiful Beginnings WeddingMoon® Ceremony. Considered the best free wedding in the Caribbean, the Beautiful Beginnings WeddingMoon® is a reflection of elegance and simplicity. Alternatively, couples can choose to add personal touches to enhance the theme with a variety of new a Ia carte options. For those who choose the latter option, Sandals is currently offering $500 towards the custom wedding they’ve always dreamed of having. Whether newlyweds decide to fully customize their special day, choose the Beautiful Beginnings wedding or mix and match, they will be wowed by the brand’s commitment to exceed guests’ expectations.

One of the best features of Sandals WeddingMoons® is that the honeymoon begins as soon as the bride tosses her bouquet. “Second to a wedding, a honeymoon is one of the most special moments in a couple’s new life together,” says Marsha-Ann Brown, Director of Romance for Sandals Resorts. In addition to offering options to customize their wedding ceremony and reception, Sandals Resorts also offers brides and grooms a multitude of choices to personalize their honeymoon celebration.

Completely dedicated to two people in love, Sandals Resorts boasts beautiful beachfront locations, luxurious accommodations, a wealth of activities and friendly Caribbean staff, making it an ideal honeymoon retreat. Newlyweds can relax and unwind after the big day at one of Sandals’ signature Love Nest Dream Suites, coined the most romantic and uniquely designed suites in the Caribbean . Defined by exclusive amenities, these luxurious sanctuaries and villas create the ultimate escape and heavenly seclusion. Rondoval Suites, for example, are dramatic circular retreats that showcase soaring 20-foot conical ceilings, travertine marble floors, a private pool and even a hammock for two along a garden courtyard. While Millionaire Suites are the epitome of luxury, featuring louvered retractable doors that offer breathtaking panoramic views, an

expansive living room and bedroom, a three-story private sundeck with dining area, and zero-entry pool complete with waterfall and stone whirlpool. Other Love Nest Suites include Swim-up Suites, Plunge Pool Suites, AII-Beachfront Suites and Oceanfront Villa Suites. While each Love Nest Suite offers a unique feature that makes it highly desirable, all feature luxurious bathrooms and amenities such as plush terry robes, plasma TVs, and hand-embroidered Egyptian cotton duvets.

Top-tier suites feature 24-hour room service, and a personal butler who will nonintrusively cater to a couple’s every whim, allowing couples to relax and enjoy their honeymoon with added pampering. Trained by the prestigious Guild of Professional English Butlers renowned for instructing valets for private celebrities and nobility worldwide, Sandals’ butlers take pride in knowing guests’ preferences prior to their arrival at the resort. They attend to guests’ every need including private in-suite check-in, unpacking and packing of clothing, providing specialized services such as drawing a scented bubble bath or even orchestrating in-suite gourmet dining on their private terrace. Personal butlers also organize optional private candlelight dinners and island excursions.

Surrounded by comfort and splendor, newlyweds will appreciate Sandals’ exceptional attention. When they register their reservation, couples celebrating their honeymoon at Sandals receive the resort’s Free Honeymoon Package, with special amenities such as chilled sparkling wine in room upon arrival, a special turndown service with flower petals and breakfast in bed on a morning of their choice.
