Doing sovoids the manufacturer's warranty.Do Not expose CPVC transition area of fitting to heat in excess of 190 °F.Excessive heat wii! distort and deform the CPVC insert and damage theinternai o-ring seai. Never instait a damaged fitting.Perform ait sotder joints on Sioux Chief CPVC transition fittings at aminimum distance of 10" (atong copper tube) from the CPVC transitionarea. Sotdering distance may be reduced to 6" if a heat btocker is used.
