2014 IN BRIEF
The year 2014 witnessed positive and negative change
in passengers and cargo traffic and aircraft movement.
22 International carrier connected KRT by 19
International airports, one in Europe, 6 African
and 12 in the Middle East.
Two national carriers competed beside Sudan airways.
• The total of international passengers’ traffic
increased by 16.8%, while the internal
traffic slope down by 8%.
• The Exported Air Cargo changed negatively by
39%, on the other hand the imported cargo
exceeded the previous year by 100 percent.
• The volume of air cargo transported from KRT
to the rest of the country declined by 45%.
• The commercial aircraft movement made a
negative difference by 1232 flights.
• United Nation operated 1378 flight to and
from KRT to transport staff and cargo.

The Holly Areas visitors up worded the slope of the curve
every year and put the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the top.
Passengers who came from UAE, EGYPT, QATAR and
Ethiopia most of them transfer their flights to online or
interline flights to/from points beyond the first
destination.

The removal of restriction on 3rd/4th Freedom between Sudan and UAE offers an opportunity to FZ & G9 to operate additional flights in JUN and raised their frequencies. In HAJJ and UMRAH season XY operated extra flights to ELMADINA.

Sudan airways resumed its flights to JUB and ASM, the new route of NV to JUB &ASM also up wording the slope of the curve QR increased its frequency to 17Flight. B8 first operation in this year in JUN 13th, TR started its flights to NDJ in JUN 20th On the other hand LH halted its flights to KRT in JAN after 20 flights.
