The Predator M1 System is a micro-class ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), boasting an array of

options only seen in larger ROVs. Built by marine engineers with practical hands-on field experience, the

Predator is easy to deploy, easy to use, and easy to maintain, with a modular design and sophisticated

diagnostics generally found in more costly work-class ROVs. The Predator M1 is manufactured, brought

to market, and supported by the ROV engineers and operators at Global Marine Systems, a worldwide

provider of offshore marine engineering systems.

The Predator M1 is constructed around four high performance thrusters which provide the systemwith movements in the forward, reverse, lateral and vertical directions. The system utilises the latest

technologies available including fibre optics for transmission of video and data as well as the latest high

accuracy three axis compass and LED technology.

As standard, the system is fitted with dual simultaneous video channels, which can transmit video from

a choice of up to four video channels. To complete the system, the latest LED technology is used to

provide up to 4400 Lumens of white light giving clear true colour pictures.

The Predator M1 is controlled via the intuitive hand controller designed to provide the pilot with all

the necessary controls at the touch of the hand. The hand controller is fitted with two sensitive 3 - axis

joysticks to control the ROV and camera tilt platform. The controller is also fitted with a sealed membrane

pad with a variety of control through dials and tactile buttons.

The topside interface is a PC based control system. The interface is designed to give the user all the

required information needed to control the ROV. A user defined setup menu also allows the operator to

configure the controls to suit the required preferences.
