Integration
The compact, modular design of the conveyor is easily adapted into inline process applications.
Tooling
Aluminum tooling plate links have standard tapped and dowel holes. Custom hole patterns and tooling is available.
Auxiliary Operations
Heavy duty steel side plates are well suited for mounting auxiliary tooling and components. Custom hole patterns may be added at manufacture.
Inline Processing
The inline concept allows part loading at several stations and automatic cycling vs. one station per cycle in a round index table layout.
Speed & Accuracy
With index accuracy of 0.003” throughout the unit, repeatable assembly operations are easily completed. Index times are 1-3 seconds depending on link size.
Custom Configurations
Custom configurations are also available. This is an example of a triple chain, independent index unit.
Carousel and elevated operation is also possible.
Controls and integration are also available.

Connection
Each unit has the pictured pneumatic and sensor connection plate. Pneumatic ports are ¼” NPT and the 24VDC position sensors are connected with an 9 pin AMP connector. Three separate, 5 way, pneumatic valves are required for operation.
Operation
Sequence of Operations
Home positions - Hold pin extended, index cylinder retracted, index pin extended.
Index sequence – Retract hold pin, extend index cylinder, extend hold pin. Retract index cylinder and extend index pin; ready for the next cycle.
Features
Each unit is shipped with an assembly drawing and detailed bill of materials. All commercial components are standard items available locally or through Arnold Machine Inc. AMI manufactured components are available by part number from AMI.
2D CAD drawings or 3D solid models are available by email or on CD.
