KIBBLE EQUIPMENT JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Precision Agriculture Technician Department: Service Reports to: Service Manager

Summary: Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs, installation, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned Precision Ag equipment. Works with other technicians to support and install precision farming technological products. Provides expertise and training for the service department. Supports the solutions enabled by the John Deere Value Added Solution (VAS) strategy and other aligned technology and applications to new and existing customers. Maintains dealer owned RTK network and related equipment.

Essential Job Functions: 1. The Precision Ag Technician is primarily performing billable customer service support. Works closely with

all departments and customers within responsible area to support all value-added solutions, products, and services.

2. Serve as the internal and external technical specialist for all Precision Ag and technology issues. 3. Assist with mechanical repairs with technicians in service department at times. 4. Deliver employee and customer training for advanced precision farming products and ensure

understanding of Precision Ag and precision farming products across all departments. 5. Maintain current product knowledge on all new/used equipment potentially saleable by the dealership,

including features/benefits and machine compatibility/ technology integration. 6. Execute plans to ensure ongoing Precision Ag mainstreaming across all departments at location. 7. Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. 8. Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion 9. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments 10. Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments 11. Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties 12. Demonstrates a genuine concern for Kibble as a whole. Exhibits outstanding communication skills and

cooperates with other departments and locations within Kibble. Promotes teamwork, maintains a positive attitude and supports the concept of one face to our customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior experience with John Deere Precision Ag preferred.

• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures preferred.

• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.

• Ability to get along with others and work as part of a team.

• Safety oriented attitude required.

• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate diagnostic software.

• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. frequently.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license required, clean driving record preferred.

• Demonstrate analytical and problem solving abilities; Solid oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent customer relation and organization skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short/changing deadlines.
