Who Am I?Khulood Mustafawi, a 20 years old interior designer to be, who is currently in her third year in Zayed Univer-sity in Dubai. She is also taking a minor in psychology to develop her self, and to have a better understanding of her surroundings. Alongside her ma-jor, she likes design-ing meaningful design

that has a touching massage that would be capable to change a soul or even a com-munity. She is obsessed in digital illustration, which is currently what she’s mostly passion-ate about. sons and one daughter. got defrauded by the Turks and

died in 1953.

AlhashimiBorn in 1946 in Dubai. Had three sisters and 2 broth-e r s . F a t i m a Married to her great cousin from Qatar, and lived there for the rest of her life.She Did not work, and had six kids: two boys and four girls. She Stud-ied primary school in an

tar. She Loved knitting and making clothes, and used to sell what she make. Fatima Got was diagnosis with cancer in 1995, and passed away in 1998.

[Description]It is basically a kind of guns, a firearm that is designed to fire from the shoulder. An old hunting gun that in made of black steal and real wood. It is one and a half meter long, and its heavy. In the upper view of the gun, we can see a small sight in the top of the muzzle, which is where the bullets

come out from.

The Shotgun originally belongs to my great grandfather, who used the gun when he wasthe head of his tribe in South Iran.

He also used it for hunting and shooting practise.

After my graet grand father got defrauded by the Turks, the shotgun belonged to my grandfather.

He learnt lot of technique for hung while he was in the age of 16. Such as walking through the opposite way of the wind so

the animals wont catch his smell and run away, and knowing when is the best time to hunt by testing the weather!

My grandfather used the shotgun for hunting preys to feed the family, and some times sell them to people.

[Description]“Misbaha”is

a phrase used for the Muslim prayer beads. This Mis-baha is made of round circular shapes gold and Coral Stone. The Misbaha has 33 pieces of perfect-ly circular shaped gold and Coral Stone. A tanger-ine tango col-ored thread goes through the small pieces to create

the Misbah.

The Misbaha was originally a gift to my grand-

mother from my mother side. She only received 100 pieces of the coral stones. She

passionately de-signed it, bought some circular gold to finally have it as

a necklace!

She used to wear it everywhere, until it

accidentally was broken!

,Prayer Beads

,After the death of my grandmother, my mother was asked to hold all my grandmother’s jewelries. And after distributing most of the things among the sisters, my mother was not sure what to do with this piece, since it was damaged and broken.

Once! Once! My mother was thinking before going to bed about the necklace, and thought: why don’t I return it to its original!

Now, my mother carries it with her all the time, as a reminder of god, and as a reminder of Allah.

[Description]This Misbaha is made of wood, and threads. The Misbaha has 21 pieces of round edged squares that are made of real wood. The pieces are in brown col-or and they are not all the same color value. Each piece of them is about 1 inch long. A light brown thick thread and a white thin one go through the small pieces to create

the Misbaha.

This Misbaha originally belonged to my great grandfather “Ab-dulrahim Mustafawi”. According to Mansoor Ahmed, Abdulra-him’s grand son: “the Misbaha was originally very long, as his fa-ther used to hang it on the wall after Abdulrahim passed away.”

After Mansoor’s fa-ther passed away, his mother took the long Misbaha, and distributed it among her three sons

It’s been said that the rea-son behind it is to remind the 3 sons of their origi-nals, and how they scari-fied a lot and worked hard to reach to this point.

-Did you here anything about the gun that My grand father used to have?It was a shotgun that actually belonged to your great grand fa-ther. He used it when he was the head of his tribe. Because they had a lot of Turks whi used to attack them.

-Where did he live? Do you know any person-al information about him?His full name: Abdul-rahim Burhan Musta-

fawi. Born and lived in South Iran. Used to be thw head of his tribe in South Iran. Have 2 brothers and one sis-ter. Married his cousin

-Did my grand father use it afterward?Yes he did. He actual-ly had to take care of his family in an early age, and he used the gun to hunt for food, and sometimes to sell what he hunts.

Why this Misbaha is so precious to you?It was actually my mothers, and I collect-ed it after her death.

Tell me its story?This was actually not a misbaha from the very beginning. At first, the Misbaha was original-ly a gift to my mother. She only received 100 piece the coral stones. She passionately de-signed it, bought some circular gold to finally have it as a necklace. She used to

wear it all the time un-til in was broken. She hadn’t get the chance to repair it.When she died, I was asked to collect all my mother’s jew-elries. I distributed most of them, but I didn’t know what to do with this one. Once I thought that I can take it back to its original. So I counted it with the gold ones and it was perfect to make a Misbaha!

What are the golden ones? Actually your grand-mother only received

100 pieces of coral stones. She added the gold later on, designed a necklace and used to were it most of the time, until in broke.

EPILOGUE ]G o i n g through the project, and o b s e r v i n g how I start-ed the work, how I went t h r o u g h c h o o s i n g the objects to search and explore about. I fig-ured that this is not just an ordi-nary project that we start working on and to finish

it present it is. it as it is. It’s far more that that because we are having the chance to dig in the elders memories, and look for stories that represents our originals. I loved having the chance to represent my work as book-let with loads of photos in. But in the other hand, I wished that I could

have some stud-ies and readings about how to de-sign professional-ly, and design in a way that brings attention to ex-plore the book.
