• Green colour inside the image goes for the company’s environmental responsibility while the parts of the puzzle acts as a social spheres where the company works to improve society’s social life. I realize CSR politics as the maximum efforts of the company to harmonize together green and social initiatives. At the same time both of them consists from many different bigger or smaller parts.

Assignment 2: video / Film Clip on CSR / Sustainability

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV4WQV32ijsComment: • The main goal of this video is to present one of the social

businesses which was created joining efforts of two companies: Danone and Grameen. What is special about social business is that you get back just the invested amount of money, but every dollar you invested is working once and once again in this way affecting more and more people. I chose this video as an example of CSR, because it represents Danone’s actions towards CSR. Danone is the company which works to earn profit, but at the same time they agreed to invest money into Grameen’s suggested idea without interests. This is why I see it as Danone’s contribution to CSR.

Company‘s distinctive socially responsible feature is employing disabled people.

Even more – the preference is given to disabled people in the massage parlor. Since it is very diffucult to find a job for a disabled person in Lithuania, the company‘s objectives are very encouraging and inspiring.

National students academy

• National students academy was born in Kaunas in the year 2004. It is a unique additional schooling institution which provides extracurricular activities for talented students in humanitarian, exact sciences and music. The whole concept of NSA is based on the idea that strengthening the society is possible via investing in hi-achieving and motivated youth.

National students academy

• NSA’s vision is to improve ourselves and change the world.

• NSA’s mission is to help young people reveal and fulfill their potential as much as it is possible.

• Vision and mission are implemented by organising distance learning which enables talented youth participation in NSA independently from the social status, location and any other issues. As well three or four on-site sessions are organised during the year. Over the year students can contact the lectures for personal assistance.

National students academy

• I chose this non-governmental organisation firstly because I had an opportunity to study there. I see NSA as a place which allows youth not only deepen knowledge in particular field and become a leader there but as well grow students as a personalities. In 2011 Swedish business awards awarded NSA as an example of CSR organisation.

• Every year many students from NSA become the winners of various international, national and regional contests.
