Final Assessment

• Assessment Method: A: Attendance = 30% (daily recorded) P: Participation = 20% (daily evaluated by HSB class assistants and instructor) F: Final test = 50% (Consist of multiple-choice questions and writing essay); given 90 minutes

• Indication of AU allocation and crediting of AUs will be done after you have successfully completed the programme

7.45 Depart Hanoi to Ha Long by car

12.15 Upon arrival at Ha Long city, Sip on a refreshing welcome drink upon check in before you begin your cruise through the bay.

12.30 Transfer to cruise ship.

12.45 Check in cabin, Start sail from Bai Tu Long Bay area, Feast on a delicious lunch as you cruise among beautiful of islets (Tea pot islet, Mat Quy –Monster Face islet, Yen Ngua islet, Man’s Head islet, Tortoise islet etc).

13.00 Lunch is served in the restaurant at the first deck. 15.30 Take in the charm and tranquility of the lagoon at Luon Cave onboard a traditional rowing boat.

16.15 Back onboard and continue cruising through limestone islets. 16.30 Visit Ti Top Island where you can enjoy swimming, kayaking1 or walking up to the summit and

admire a fantastic view onto Ha Long Bay.

18.00 Onboard the vessel, surrounded by a stunning setting in motion, attend our chef’s cooking demonstration and try your skills in the art of traditional Vietnamese cooking.

• You are advised to make a photocopy of the personal particulars page of your Passport and IC, and bring them along. Please do not keep your passport and IC in the same place.

• Singaporean males are reminded to log on to the NS Portal at www.ng.sg to give notification of overseas trips.

• Make sure you know the “Rules of the Road” in Vietnam. • Be aware that motorists, bicyclists and motorcyclists will

most likely not stop for you. • Be on the alert for petty crimes. Keep your belongings

and valuables in a safe place. • Stay in touch with your family in Singapore and inform

them of any changes in your itinerary or contact details. • Activate international roaming services with your service

providers at least 2 days prior to your departure. • Obey the laws and respect the local customs of the

country you are visiting.

• June is one of the warmer months in Hanoi. Average June temperature: 28oC June high: 33oC June low: 26oC • Average sea temperature at Ha Long Bay is about 23oC. • Students are expected to dress smartly (please refer to

programme guide which will be provided later) while attending lessons and on company visits.

• Bring 1 ∼ 2 sets of formal wear for the opening ceremony, closing ceremony and company visits.

• A light jacket/sweater during your flight. • Good walking shoes are a must for sightseeing days. • Swim wear for the weekend trip to Ha Long Bay.
