Look for dolphins, seals, pelicans and other marine life on this catamaran cruise from Walvis Bay. As you sail, you

the catamaran moves alongside the oyster platforms, your guide will share more information with you about
locally cultivated Walvis Bay oysters. Included in the tour is the tasting of these delicacies. The journey proceeds to
the Pelican Point to get a closer look at the lighthouse. As you sail, look out for the playful dolphins and Cape fur
seals that call the bay home. Look out for sightings of the mola mola (sunfish) and leatherback turtles. In season
(July through November), keep your eyes peeled for whales, and with some extra luck, you might see the mighty

Sandwich Harbour Tour 8h00 or 12h30. Free pick-up at any Swakopmund address N$1400.00/ USD97.00 pp
Beautiful dunes have to be crossed to get to Sandwich Harbour. One of Southern Africa’s richest and unique
wetlands. Wedged between the sea and the Namib Dunes, potable water seeping from the underground aquifer
sustains the freshwater vegetation at the base of the dunes. If our vehicles cannot drive all along the beach to get
to Sandwich Harbour because of the tides, you will get a chance to see the lagoon area from one of our many
beautiful lookout spots and will have the time to walk and explore. We have lots of time to stop along the way for
photography. When it becomes time to enjoy something to eat, your guide simply finds a suitable place to stop
and serve a selection of savoury and sweet snacks, sparkling wine, oysters and drinks. We usually do this on top of
a high dune overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, or on the beach

vegetated, life-rich eastern side of the dunes, right through the dunes to the Atlantic Ocean on the western side of
the dune belt. Some of the fascinating, hidden life in this apparently barren landscape that is part of the Namib
Desert. Here you can find creatures endemic to the Namib: the sidewinder (Peringuey's Adder), the Palmato Gecko
with its transparent skin and beautiful colours - we dig into the dune side to find this nocturnal desert-dweller. We track
the large Namaqua Chameleon, and watch it enjoy brunch. Then it's a dash to catch the swift sand-diving lizard.
We find out how the area's plants and small animals survive the harsh climate, and how they obtain water for life. At
the end of the tour, weather permitting, you will experience a 'roaring' dune. Other characters to be found in the
dune belt are the 'dancing' White Lady Spider; the Parabuthus Villosus black scorpion; the occasional horned adder
