Men Sharing Our Faith Next Meeting February 11th Are you ready for Lent? It is not too far off. During Lent many of us participate in the Stations of the Cross. Have you thought about the Fifth station? in the Fifth station, Jesus gets help from Simon of Cyrene to carry the Cross. I believe Jesus is giving us another example to follow; that we should be willing to accept help from others as well as offer help to others. Are you willing to help others carry their cross? Are you willing to accept help from others? "Men Sharing Our Faith" is a group of men that gather once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 :00pm in the Peter and Paul classroom which is down the hall from the chapel. All men of the parish are welcome to join with us as we strive to assist each other to become better committed Christian, Catholic Men with a fuller understanding of what God and His Church is calling us to be. Cost: Adults– $10; Children 6-12- $5; Children 5 and under free; Families $30
Menu: Fried Catfish, Baked Tilapia, Grilled Cheese, Mac & Cheese, Tomato/Basil Soup, French Fries, Hush Puppies, and Cole Slaw.
The annual fish fry is sponsored, cooked and served by our Knights of Columbus and their spouses. Please join us at our weekly Lenten fish fry. Come enjoy some good food and fellowship.
FOR MEN OF THE PARISH
During Lent we should all take a little time out from our normal daily routines and reflect on what Jesus did from his joyous entrance to Jerusalem, the Last Supper, the Agony in Garden, Crucifixion, Death and finally his Resurrection. What are you going to do in gratitude for what He did for you?
Come join your fellow men reflect on the Stations of the Cross. The stations will alternate between Spanish and English, but both languages will be in a bilingual handout. Afterwards we will gather to enjoy some pizza and sodas drinks and share our experiences and find out how other men are participating more fully in parish life. So please consider joining us and experience the Lenten season in a new and more personal way.
We will gather in the church on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30 pm to start our Lenten walk. if you can join us please RSVP Glenn such that we will have some idea on how many pizzas will be needed, but last minute walk-on are welcome to come and fully participate. Durante la Cuaresma todos debemos tomarnos un poco de tiempo de nuestras rutinas diarias normales y reflexionar sobre lo que Jesús hizo desde su entrada gozosa a Jerusalén, durante última cena, la agonía en el jardín, la crucifixión, la muerte y finalmente su resurrección. ¿Qué vas a hacer en agradecimiento por lo que hizo por ti?

Medical Mission trip opportunity to the Diocese of Trujillo, Honduras
A Medical/Dental Mission to the community of Bonito Oriental in the Diocese of Trujillo, Honduras February 29 through March 6, 2020. This mission experience is an opportunity to re-establish our Diocese of Dallas medical and dental mission team that makes annual trips to Honduras. We need doctors, dentists, nurses, hygienists, translators and volunteers willing to have their lives changed by a mission experience with our brothers and sisters in Honduras.

Prayer Quilt Ministry Meeting All sewers and non-sewers are welcome. Next meeting will be February 19th
The gatherings are typically held on the 3rd Wednesdays of the month - downstairs in Room 1, near the kitchen. The room is reserved from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Members come and go throughout the day as their schedule allows.
All stages of the quilt making process are available...sort or cut fabric, sew pieces together, hand tie prayer knots, and much more. To receive information from the group: Sign up for Flocknotes on the parish website and choose Prayer Quilt Ministry as a Group.

Our annual Mardi Gras Dinner Dance hosted by the Knights of Columbus will be held at the Rockwall Hilton Hotel on Saturday, February 22nd starting at 6:00 pm. Tickets will be $75 and will be sold in the West Classroom after all weekend Masses until February 16th. Call Jeff Maas 214-336-4300 of any questions.
