The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) provides a person who is not bap-tized with a supportive group of believers who ac-company you on your own individual journey of faith. YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

Baby shower for Mary… Once again the youth group will be having a Baby Shower for Mary. Instead of having a regular Christmas party we throw a baby shower for Mary who is expecting baby Jesus. We then donate all the baby gifts to Life Pregnancy Services in Sebastopol. They in turn give the resources to young mothers who are in need of these items. If you would like to donate to our baby shower you may drop off the items in the office until December 12th. Any questions call Gayle at 535-0714.

LA Youth Day … February 22-26 Details are being finalized for the high school trip to LA for the Youth Day Conference. There will be singing, praying, Mass, workshops, laughter, hand motions and more. Those who have signed up for the LA Youth Day trip remember the down payment is due soon. Christmas Cards on sale….

Our famous Resurrection Christmas cards are back on sale. Pick up a package with our own stained glass window on it (photo by Fr. Shaw). Only $5 …. and you support the youth of the parish. Pick them up in the office

ALTAR SOCIETY Every year at Christmas time the Altar Society of Resurrection collects items for men and women in rest homes. They are asking for donations of toiletries, lotions, socks, lap blankets and other suitable items for men and women mainly chair and bed bound. The Altar Society will meet on Tuesday December 20

th to wrap these items.

Please join us on Tuessday at 9:30 am in the Religious Education Building. Come awrapping! Donations will be accepted at any time in the office during regular hours.

The applicant order will be conducted through a random

drawing lottery of applications on December 28 at 10am.

All applications up to 500 will be placed on the waiting

will be notified by mail of the random drawing lottery

results postmarked no later than January 15, 2017.

SAM JONES HALL VOLUNTEERS Last year Resurrection parishoners did a beautiful job

volunteering to cook and serve dinner once a month during the winter

for the homeless at Sam Jones Hall. We need five people. This

effective program is run by Catholic Charities. If you feel called to

this outreach ministry, please call Alan at 707 889-1766. Thank you.

PASTORAL ASSEMBLY NOMINATIONS FOR 2017 As the Pastoral Assmbly enters into its twelfth year it is time to select four new members, one man and one woman from the English Community and one man and woman from the Spanish Community. We also need two alternates from each community. The Resurrection PPA (Parish Pastoral Assembly) exists to build relationships between the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking communities, to address mutually beneficial interests, concerns and activities. We are looking for parishoners with a strong faith, acceptance of the the teachings of Vatican II, able to listen and maintain confidentiality, along with other abilities. If anyone feels called to volunteer or would like permission to do so, there are applications in the church office. The deadline for nominations is December 27, 2016. This is a good time to prayerfully consider serving the parish in an important role. NOMINACIONES PARA LA ASAMBLEA PASTORAL Como la Asamblea Pastoral entra en su duodecimo año, tenemos que seleccionar cuarto nuevos miembros, una mujer y un hombre de la Communidad en Inglés y un hombre y una mujer de la Communidad Hispana.
