Anthony is a Texas A&M graduate who Laura and I worked together with while in San Antonio. Once part-time staff with Destino, he transition to full- time staff this past fall. Since he made his transition, I have been coaching him once a week while he works to build a team of financial ministry partners. Anthony is spilling over with energy and motivation to see Latinos on the college campus reached for Christ and sent out to change the world. His vision and sincerity is contagious. While on part-time staff at San Antonio, he was working to re-launch a spiritual movement at his alma mater in College Station, TX. From January 13th to 16th, along with three students from A&M, Anthony attended Destino’s annual Winter Conference in San Diego, CA. Here is what he shares about the weekend in San Diego: Destino Winter Conference was packed with wonderful speakers, great seminars, and an impactful day of outreach, but what stood out to me the most was the students’ eagerness and desire for God. Thirty students from San Antonio signed up for a 20 hour road trip to attend this conference in San Diego. There are many stories to share but one of my favorite highlights was having 3 students from Texas A&M come to the conference. It was so awesome to see the Lord working in the lives of students at A&M long after I’ve graduated. I met Brian last semester and the work God has been doing in his life has been extraordinary. It brought great joy in my heart to hear Brian share this with us, “As long as you have confidence and passion it makes it much easier to tell others about Jesus. I'm going to use that at my school when I go out and share the Gospel.” He has a huge passion for the Lord and desire to see Destino grow on his campus. I can’t wait to see how God continues to use Brian at Texas A&M. Here are some other highlights from the conference: 15 students decided to follow Jesus during the conference 14 people indicated decisions to trust Jesus during our day of outreach 51 students pledged to go to a summer mission trip this year 21 students pledged to serve a year in full time ministry Would you please join us in praying for Anthony and Destino at Texas A&M?
