PRAYER FOCUS - SEPTEMBER 23, 2018 To activate the Prayer Chain, call Ruth Wiebe: 306-931-2982 1. Missionary Focus: Pray for our EMMC missionaries and brothers and sisters in Christ in Bolivia: "Fire near Hacienda Verde, Bolivia: The weather in Bolivia has been extremely hot and dry. Fire from a brush row jumped into a forested area near Hacienda Verde. With some hard work from the community men, they were able to contain the fire. Higher humidity, rain, and lower temperatures helped to relieve the situation. Only 30 to 40 hectares were burned. It could have been so much worse. People in Hacienda Verde prayed for rain, and God answered their prayers. Praise the Lord! SEC NEWS

Note from the Pastor: Thank you to all who made our community garage

sale a success. We had 20 different people (mostly from our

neighbourhood) selling stuff and lots of people came through the door. All

who participated felt it was a good event and are interested in doing it

again (likely in May of 2019). The church raised $156.45 from donated

items. A special thanks to Pastor Chris who came early to set up and

stayed after to clean up.

Note from our Treasurer: Our budget as of Aug.26 is $171,350.00 and our

income is $170,682.00; leaving a budget deficit of

$668.00.
