PRAYER DRIVE OUT AND ABOUT Guide & Maps Your group is about to embark on an adventure. As you drive through our Eureka neighborhoods, use the opportunity to seek the heart of God for our community. Prayer conversational prayers, speaking to God as you speak to others in your group. We encourage you to involve each person in the prayer, and to pray for each home and any people you see during the drive. You can also pray for any schools, churches, or businesses you pass on your route. Use this guide to help you in your prayers. The first two pages will help you with ideas for how to pray and for whom to pray. The last three pages have maps designating the different neighborhoods our caravans will travel. “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.” 1 Timothy 2:1 Types of Prayer - Specific Ways you Can Pray *Praise and worship - Express thoughts about the greatness of God and your desire that the people in the neighborhood would know God. *Confession - Every culture has idolatry. Confess the sins of your community, including many people choosing everything else over God, and ask God to forgive and heal the community. *Intercession - Pray for the needs and struggles that people living in your neighborhood might have. These needs include strong families, their needs met, good education, healthy relationships, good jobs. But the greatest need is that they would know Jesus, and that God would send laborers to the harvest for them. *Thanksgiving - Give thanks to God for the blessings you receive from God and use your gratitude to pray that others would experience grace and mercy as well. *Surrender - As you pray for homes, ask God to change our hearts so that we would be willing to be used by God to make a difference. *A plea for God to work in power - Acknowledge to God that the only hope for our neighborhood is the work of God, ask Him to send the Holy Spirit in power to our church and in this community.

Your group is about to embark on an adventure. As you drive through our Eureka neighborhoods,use the opportunity to seek the heart of God for our community. Types of Prayer - Specific Ways you Can Pray

*Praise and worship - Express thoughts about the greatness of God and your desire thatthe people in the neighborhood would know God.

) Street signs - Thank God that he directs our paths

) Intersections - Pray that God would help people choose the right way, Jesus asthe way, the truth, and the life.

) Fire hydrants - Pray for our firefighters and police officers.

) Flags - Pray for our governmental leaders, including the President, Governor,and our Mayor.

) Delivery trucks - Pray for essential workers, continuing to serve in their jobsduring the pandemic.

) Beautiful flowers - Ask God to bring beauty into the lives of those who havelost jobs and are hurting economically.

) Basketball goals - Pray that God would help people in our city “shoot” towardtheir purpose in life.

) Parks - Pray for our Parks Department and city workers

) Class of 2020 Yard Signs - Lift up this year’s senior class, praying for them asthey have lost so much that they had been anticipating.

) Light poles - Pray for those working in education, including the teachers, staff,and administration in our schools, asking God to help them “light up” kidslives.
