Page 1: Prayer Calendar January 2012

SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY

1 Ask God to determine our steps in 2012. “In his heart a man plans his course, but the

LORD determines his steps.” Prov. 16:9

2 Pray for God’s protec-tion on the staff as they travel back to the different training cen-

tres. Pray for travel mercies, the crossings at the borders and the finances to complete the journeys.

3 Ask God to guide the leadership of FCE. Pray for them to be God fearing in every-

day challenges, decisions and dealing with issues.

4 The staff of Koti ni Eden has made com-mitments for various outreach initiatives

this year. Pray for God’s rev-elation and excellent planning to reach people’s hearts and teach them skills. Ask God to give them a vision beyond themselves to lift Christ up in all they do.

5 Zhak and Yvette Malo-ney are released from FCE for 2012. Yvette and their daughter Isa-

bella suffered from continuous malaria attacks and they need to get away from the malaria area to fully recover. Pray for them as this decision was not easy for them.

6 Bring honour and glory to God for taking Carel and Renee Els lovingly through a very

difficult time. Renee survived the chemotherapy and will receive X-ray treatment dur-ing January. Continue to pray for complete healing.

7 Birthday: Elise Compion

8 FCE day of Prayer and Fasting. Ask God to reveal Himself to the body of FCE so that

all of us may have the same compassion and love as Jesus had for the people and places where FCE is involved all over the world.

9 FCE Wolseley starts with a Discipleship-Mission Training course. Pray for the

students who are enrolled in this course. Pray that their hearts and minds will be re-newed so that they can come to know the perfect will of God for their lives. Rom. 12:1,2

10 The Jansens Jansen will be in South Africa during 2012.

Carien has been suffering from severe headaches, the cause of which could not yet be diagnosed. Trust the Lord for her healing. Hendrik will be studying for his Master’s degree through distance edu-cation at Southland College, Australia.

11 Ask God to pre-pare the hearts of the first year teacher students.

They will not have senior stu-dents to ‘show the way’ so we will have to ensure that a pure perspective of the FCE vision is understood by them, and that they will take it and be able to lead those who follow in their wake.

12 Birthday: Hen-drik Jansen 13 FCE Zambia/

Malawi regional staff confer-ence. Pray that

God will be the Author and Finisher of our decisions. Our hearts’ desire is to first seek his Kingdom and to be actively involved in building this kingdom.

14 Birthday: Jaco v.d. Westhuizen

15 Pray for Bernice/Piet/Elma/Anita Grobler who are

involved in the training of the first year teacher students at Koti ni Eden. Reinette Holtzhausen will join them in May after the completion of her further studies. Pray that they will work in unity.

16 FCE schools start in Zambia. Pray that the teachers

will focus on revealing Christ through their subjects instead of only teaching knowledge.

17 Birthday: Anita Grobler 18 Pray for the training

centre leaders: Carel and Rentia at

Wolseley, Brian and Barbara at Koti ni Eden, Ameck and Lydia at Kalungu and Moses and Regina at Malawi.

19 Ask the Lord for sponsorship for students who are

interested in the further train-ing that FCE offers. Many of them have the desire to be trained, but few of them have the means to make their dreams come true.

20 Praise the Lord for Gert, Janine Bas-son and their team

who diligently served the Lord at the King’s Highway Guesthouse at Masaiti. Our rental agreement has expired and we have moved from the premises. Pray for funds to build a new FCE guesthouse at Koti ni Eden.

21 Pray God’s blessing on the FCE King’s Highways. Riette at

Somerset West, Cecile at Oka-handja and Karin at Kalungu. Encourage family and friends to stay over at our guesthouses. Visit www.kingshighway.co.za.

22 We truly are in need of administra-tive staff at all our

training centres. The work load is heavy and the hands are few. Please ask the Lord to send in efficient and dedi-cated people with an interest in admin work.

23 Four students en-rolled for the Hos-pitality and Tourism

Training. The curriculum has been modified and the emphasis of the course is on providing a service which is founded on the example Jesus set as a Servant. Pray for them.

24 Join us as we trust the Lord for finances to run our

training centres, to supply accommodation and food for the staff, for travel expenses, the visas and work and study permits. These costs are increasing every year and we really find it difficult to make ends meet.

25Pray for the chil-dren of the FCE Staff. 26 The Lord gave

FCE the tools of teaching and train-

ing to reach the lost. Pray for effective marketing strategies to mobilise future students, especially from within Zambia and Malawi.

27 Our Commu-nity Development Course will only

commence in 2013. Pray for students to come in who will be on fire for communities. Ask God to help us simplify and intensify our curriculum so that we reach our goal to transform communities for Christ.

28 Pray God’s blessing on our biltong shops in Somerset West,

the Strand and the Biltong fac-tory in Tulbagh. The profit from these businesses provide for some of the needs of the train-ing centres.

29 Pray for the staff who work in the offices, kitchen, media, building, carpentry, clinic, agriculture, farming,

maintenance, gardens, etc. Many times their work is taken for granted, but without their hard work, FCE cannot function as a mission organisation.

30 Ask the Lord to protect us from the evil one – pray that we will not be discouraged, that we will not give the

enemy any foothold by giving in to negative talk or thinking, but that the joy of the Lord will be our strength as we seek to honour Him.

31 By His grace we were able to build up international contacts in Christian schools, mission organisations,

communities and churches. Together with ex-students, prayer supporters, they help us with our various projects. Thank the Lord for His provision through the body of Christ.
