    21/12 Pray for those who are alone and/or

    abandoned this Christmas - that they would

    know their worth and value. Read: Ps 90-95

    22/12 Pray for those who wont have loved oneswith them this Christmas due to deaths relating

    to issues caused by poverty or conict.

    Day 21

    23/12 As we reect on the travel of Mary and

    Joseph to Bethlehem, pray for those who are

    traditionally nomadic and facing environmental

    hardships. Read: Ps 103-105

    Day 22

    24/12 Today, as we reect on the night

    before Jesus was born, pray for the people of

    Bethlehem now who face hardship daily.

    25/12 Today, give thanks for the gift of God

    entering our world to bring about reconciliation

    with all he created. Read: Ps 109-115

    Day 1

    /12 If you have not begun your Christmas

    hopping, use today to reect on how you can

    use the money wisely this year. Dont purchase

    or the sake of it. Read: Job 38-42

    Day 24/12 Today, reect on the Angels message to

    Mary that she would give birth to Jesus. Ask God

    how you may be used to be part of his story of

    econciliation in this world. Read: Ps 1-7

    5/12 Today, consider peace and what it means.

    pend time in reective meditation, seeking God

    on how you can be an instrument of true peace.

    Read: Ps 8-14

    Day 4

    6/12 Today, reect on the birth of Jesus cousin,

    ohn the Baptist and consider what it means

    or us to truly declare the way of Jesus to the

    broken world around us. Read: Ps 15-18

    Day 5

    7/12 Pray for the relationship between North

    nd South Korea amongst the current tensions

    here. Pray that lasting peace would be reached.

    Read: Ps 19-24

    Day 6

    8/12 Pray for peace in Sudan as theyhead towards a referendum on southern

    ndependence. Read: Ps 25-30

    Day 7

    9/12 Pray for those working on cures for

    diseases striking poor communities. Pray that

    heir work would be successful. Read: Ps 31-34

    Day 8

    0/12 Pray for sponsor children around the

    world; that their families would know peace,

    hope, joy and love this Christmas. Read: Ps 35-37

    Day 9

    1/12 Pray for global areas suffering through

    drought right now and that the global

    ommunity would be moved to support those in

    need. Read: Ps 38-42

    Day 10

    12/12 Today, consider hope. Reect on how

    service to the poor shares hope and pray that

    the work of TEAR Fund would be an instrument

    of hope. Read: Ps 43-48

    Day 1113/12 Pray for those who feel no hope; that

    even in the face of turmoil they would catch a

    glimpse of the heart of Jesus. Read: Ps 49-54

    Day 12

    14/12 Pray for those feeling stressed at this time

    of year. Pray that they would be able to simplify

    and focus on whats really important.

    Day 13

    15/12 Pray for all those who serve God. Pray

    that we may be shaped to better reect him tothe world around us. Read: Ps 61-67

    Day 14

    16/12 As we consider Joseph in the story of

    Jesus birth, reect today on what it means to be

    faithful and even things around us are confusing.

    Day 15

    17/12 Pray for the coming Poverty Cycle

    event next year. Pray that people would get

    enthusiastic about it and want to take part.

    Day 16

    18/12 Pray that the holiday break would be a

    time of rest and rejuvenation for the staff of

    TEAR Fund as we look towards another year.

    19/12 Today, consider love. Reect on what it

    means to truly love those on the margins of our

    society and the world. Call on God to grow that

    love within you. Read: Ps 79-84

    Day 18

    20/12 Pray for those who work with those on

    the margins; that their work would not feel like

    a chore, but would be inspired by a deep love

    for others. Read: Ps 85-89
