ANDY (V.O.) (CONT'D)Her mission: to rig up one fancy car.

INSERT CLIP from prank of KAYLIE's reaction when she finds out it belongs to Justin Timberlake. 'Oh my god!'

ANDY (V.O.) (CONT'D)Convince her show-off friend Kaylie that it belongs to pop star Justin Timberlake.

INSERT CLIP from prank of KAYLIE trashing the car and freaking out.

ANDY (CONT'D)Betcha this big-talker won't have much to say after she thinks she's trashed her idol's wheels.

1. EXT. PARK - PRANKSTER INTRO

ANGLE on OLIVIA having a picnic with her MOM. They eat sandwiches, chat etc.

ANGLE ANDY dressed as a SQUIRREL MASCOT hiding behind a tree watching OLIVIA and her MOM chow down. He checks his Prank Patrol badge.

ANGLE ANDY behind the tree.

ANDY (o.S.)Olivia Cohen?

OLIVIAYeah?

ANDY scurries over and removes his Squirrel head.

ANDYAre you ready to make your dream prank come true?

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY (CONT'D)Congrats! You're the newest member of the Prank Patrol!

ANDY hands OLIVIA a Prank Patrol badge with his furry squirrel mitt.

ANDY awkwardly hugs OLIVIA'S MOM in his bushy fur.

ANDY (CONT'D)Come on Olivia, let's get this show on the road.

ANDY and OLIVIA exit the scene.

CUT TO:SPY VIDEO/VICTIM INTRO

2. EXT. BASKETBALL COURT - VICTIM INTRO

KAYLIE and her DAD are playing a game of one on one.

ANGLE the back of the SPYVAN opening. Both ninjas hop out.

NINJA JANE holds a MINI DV CAM while NINJA BOB has a DIGITAL CAMERA.

Cut to:

STATIC to MINI DV CAM of KAYLIE trying to manoeuver around her DAD (shot through a bush).

We then hear a natural conversation between ANDY and OLIVIA as they begin to talk. They discuss the prankster/target relationship and touch on the motivation for the prank.

For example:

ANDY (O.S.)So tell me about the target of your prank. Who is she?

OLIVIA (O.S.)She's my best friend Kaylie. We hang out a lot. She's really cool but she can be kind of annoying.

CUT TO:

ANDY and OLIVIA behind the Spyvan watching the video of KAYLIE on ANDY'S HANDHELD DEVICE.

Their conversation continues.

ANDYHow does she annoy you?

OLIVIA Kaylie is always bragging about celebrities. She got Jessica Alba's autograph once and she keeps talking about it.

Cut to:

BACK to the MINI DV P.O.V. of KAYLIE scoring a point.

Cut to:

STILLS of KAYLIE (from behind bleachers) as she dribbles.

<Insert Sfx: camera shutter>

ANDY and OLIVIA'S conversation continues.

Cut to:

ANDY (o.S.)What's your idea for the prank?

OLIVIA explains that she would love to embarrass KAYLIE in front of a celebrity. She also mentions that adding fruit to the prank would be good because KAYLIE hates fruit. She never eats it.

ANDY (O.S.) (CONT'D)Fruit phobia huh? Gotcha.

Cut to:

BACK TO ANGLE of ANDY and OLIVIA behind the Spyvan.

Andy (CONT'D)Which celebrity does Kaylie really like?

OLIVIA will have to mention that KAYLIE likes Justin Timberlake.

ANDY closes his device. He's got all the information he needs.

ANDY (CONT'D)Ha! I think I have an idea! We pick up a car, pretend it belongs to Justin Timberlake...then we trash it and blame Olivia! What do you think?

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY (CONT'D)(speaking into a lipstick sized transmitter) Ninja's let's roll.

CUT TO:

3. EXT. CITY STREETS - SPYVAN EN ROUTE

SHOTS of the SPYVAN en route weaving in and out of traffic en route to meet LEFTY, a picture car coordinator.

ANDY (v.o.We're on our way to see Lefty - he's the guy that gets cars for the movies! He will definitely have a cool car for Justin Timberlake.

CUT TO:

4. EXT. CAR LOT - CHOOSING THE CARS

**Note Justin’s car will likely be an Escalade SUV.

ANGLE on ANDY and OLIVIA strolling over to meet LEFTY.

Introductions all around.

Here are some “talking points” for ANDY to bring up when they shop for the cars:

- (to Lefty) Which famous actors have driven in the cars? To which Lefty points to one of the cars and mentions how it was driven by Bob Barker once. Andy is really impressed, saying something like: "WOW! BOB BARKER!! SO COOOOOL."

- (to Olivia) Before they trash Justin’s car, they should trash a stranger’s car. Is that a good idea?

- (to Olivia) What kind of car she thinks Justin Timberlake would drive.

OLIVIA responds. If she doesn’t choose the escalade then ANDY will suggest it’s much better.

PRANKING THE PRANKSTER

ANDY checks out the Escalade. He opens the door and looks inside.

ANDY (CONT'D)What’s this?

ANDY finds a fake LOVE LETTER from Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie! He starts reading the fake mushy love letter “Dear Angelina…”

Wow! Brad Pitt sat in this very car!

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY reveals the prank. Then-

ANDY (CONT'D)Hey, how about we trash the cars at a car wash. Would that be cool?

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY (CONT'D)But how would we get Kaylie to a car wash? Any ideas?

OLIVIA will have to respond that she could tell KAYLIE it's a charity fundraiser. They do fundraisers all the time with their parents.

ANDY thinks that’s a most excellent idea.

CUT TO:EXTRO - LEAVING CAR LOT

ANDY and OLIVIA are standing beside the Escalade.

Andy (CONT'D)Olivia do you have your driver's license?

OLIVIA responds she doesn't.

ANDY (CONT'D)Ok so I guess I have to drive both cars myself then. Hmmmm.

CUT TO:

5. EXT. STREET - DRIVING GAG

ANGLE ANDY and OLIVIA in the ESCALADE. ANDY drives it a few meters, then stops and turns off the engine. He opens the door and hops out leaving OLIVIA in the car.

ANDY jogs back to the PLAIN CAR and squeezes himself in (the seat has been pushed up as far as it can go), drives it up to the Escalade, parks and squeezes out.

He gets back into the Escalade. To OLIVIA -

AndyThis might take a while!!

OLIVIA responds.

6. EXT. GUILLAUME’S LOT - ARRIVING AT THE GARAGE

ANDY and OLIVIA hop out of the Escalade. ANDY dashes back to get the plain car and drive it in.

ANDY and OLIVIA stroll over to the garage. The door is wide open.

ANDYOlivia, do you know anything about cars?

OLIVIA responds. There is no indication she does.

ANDY (CONT'D)Well that's why we're here. My friend GUILLAUME is a master of special effects.He's helped us out with lots of car pranks.

CUT TO:

7. INT. GUILLAUME’S GARAGE - INTRO TO EXPERT

ANGLE GUILLAUME welding a piece of metal. Sparks fly. He takes off his protective head gear.

GREETINGS/INTRODUCTIONS then:

ANDYHey Olivia why don't you tell Guillaume what you want him to do?

OLIVIA in her own words tells GUILLAUME that she wants to make her friend KAYLIE think she's done something terrible to a stranger's car and then to Justin Timberlake's car during a car wash.

Andy (CONT'D)If anyone can destroy a car it's you Guillaume. Any thoughts on what we can do?

GUILLAUME responds that they can have the bumper fall off the stranger's car and then rig the Escalade to fall apart.

ANDY (CONT'D)Wow! How does that sound Olivia?

OLIVIA responds.

GUILLAUME tells them what they need (gathers the supplies) and then the three exit the garage.

8. EXT. GUILLAUME’S LOT - RIGGING THE STRANGER'S CAR

SHOTS of GUILLAUME, ANDY and OLIVIA “rigging” the bumper. Maybe adding stuff to the back seat for someone to hide beneath.

GUILLAUME tells OLIVIA how it will work.

COMMENTS/REACTIONS from ALL.

Here are some 'talking points' for ANDY to be discussed during setting up the bumper gag.

- How do you think KAYLIE is going to react when she thinks she mad the bumper fall off the STRANGER'S car? Will she apologize?

9. EXT. GUILLIAME’S LOT - RIGGING THE CELEBRITY'S CAR

Rigging the WINDOW, REAR VIEW MIRROR and ENGINE on the Escalade:

ANDY asks GUILLAUME what parts of the car they should rig to completely freak KAYLIE out.

GUILLAUME responds that they can make mirror fall off, the window shatter and the engine blow up.

SHOTS of GUILLAUME, ANDY and OLIVIA rigging the car.

OLIVIA CAN HELP WITH WIRING, WORK UNDER THE HOOD, ETC.

They will test the engine sparking and blowing up gag. OLIVIA can set it off (from a safe place) to test it.

NOTE: Don’t let Olivia know what the gag is like, exactly. Then it will surprise her, and we should get a good first reaction to it.

- Have you ever worked on a car before? Would KAYLIE believe you could do something like this?

- What did you think when GUILLAUME suggested all of these things that will go wrong with the car?

EXTRO to RIGGING THE CAR

ANDY and OLIVIA are wiping the grease off of their hands. ANDY has a smudge of grease on his cheek.

GUILLAUME tells Olivia that she did a great job. If she ever wants a job she should get in touch.

ANDY (CONT'D)

Hey you promised me that job!!

GUILLAUME SHRUGS.

ANDYOlivia, let's get a move on!

Cut to:

10. EXT. ROAD - INTRO TO THE NINJAS

ANDY and OLIVIA are driving in the Escalade.

INSERT SFX - 'Siren'

ANDY (CONT'D)Uh-oh. Hope this isn't about all those parking tickets I have. Don't worry, I'll handle this. Just don't make eye contact and everything will be ok.

ANGLE on ANDY behind the driver's seat, looking straight ahead, hands on the steering wheel. The lower half of a police officer steps into frame, writing on a TICKET PAD.

ANDY (CONT'D)Afternoon officer, everything alright?

The officer rips the ticket off the pad and hands it to ANDY. He looks at the ticket.

ANDY (CONT'D)Seven hundred dollars?!!

He reads the ticket further.

ANDY (CONT'D)For looking like a fool? What kind of traffic offence is that?

ANDY looks up to see NINJA BOB, dressed as a police officer. NINJA BOB squirts ANDY in the face with a PINK FAKE LOOKING WATER GUN. The crafty assassin giggles and sprints off.

ANGLE on ANDY wiping the water off his face.

ANDY (CONT'D)Ninjjjjasssssssssss!!!!

11. EXT. CAR WASH - PRANK DETAILS

ANGLE ANDY and OLIVIA at the car wash.

ANDYOlivia, this car wash will serve as the location for your prank. Kaylie will come here thinking that she's going to wash cars for a charity fundraiser, and then we'll make her wish she wasn't so charitable. Are you excited?

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY (CONT'D)Good. To recap, we're got Kaylie knocking the bumper off a stranger's car and then trashing what she thinks is Justin Timberlake' car right?

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY (CONT'D)

Nice! Ok let's go.

12. INT. CAR WASH - PRANKING THE PRANKSTER

ANDY and OLIVIA enter the back of the car wash. It looks like your standard hand car wash.

AndyBefore I got this gig on Prank Patrol, I used to wash cars. Let me show you the ropes.

SFX: <PHONE RINGING>

ANDY excuses himself and tells OLIVIA to wait right there. Moments later ANDY douses her with soapy water.

OLIVIA reacts.

Andy (CONT'D)Sorry, had to do it. It's a little car wash initiation thing. Heh! Hehhhh!

OLIVIA takes one of the sprayers and let’s ANDY have it! A water fight ensues.

ANDY calls a truce and tosses her a towel and then shows her the process of washing a car. He points out the water pressure hoses (seems she’s a natural with that already), buckets, soap dispensers, rags, brushes, and towels they use for drying.

ANDY (CONT'D)So what do you think about the car wash OLIVIA, think you've got the hang of it?

OLIVIA comments in her own words.

ANDY (CONT'D)One more thing. Let's try to get Kaylie to go snooping in Justin's car.

ANDY pulls out a PAD OF PAPER.

ANDY (CONT'D)We’ll plant a love letter for bait. This time it’ll be from Justin to one of his old girlfriends, like Britney Spears!

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY (CONT'D)Also, Kaylie hates fruit right? We put the letter next to some fruit! Would that gross her out?

OLIVIA responds.

ANDY and OLIVIA work on composing the love letter together. In it Justin asks Britney to get back together with him.

- How do you think KAYLIE will react to sneaking into the back of the Escalade?

- What will she do when she finds a love letter in the back seat?

- Will she steal the letter?

- Will she steal the fruit?

- How do you think she will react to the bumper falling off?

ANDY (CONT'D)Well I think it's time we get this prank in motion. Time for you to get KAYLIE. Good luck.

OLIVIA exits.

ANDY (CONT'D)And it's time for me to RELEASE THE NINJAAAASSSSSS!!!

CUT TO:

13. CAR WASH - NINJA SET UP

SHOTS of the NINJAS flipping around and setting up the necessary items for the prank:

- Buckets full of soapy water. They drop rags in the buckets.

- A stack of fresh towels for drying.

- A banner at the top of the car wash that reads: CHARITY CAR WASH. (Sarah

is inventing a charity)

- A large 'Salvation Army' type collection unit - glass globe with a slot at the top.

- A basket of fruit in the back seat next to the love letter.

TO BE INTERCUT WITH:

INTERVIEW

After this scene is completed OLIVIA is interviewed and answers questions like:

- Are you nervous? If not, why not? If yes, what are you most nervous about?

- Does KAYLIE get nervous easily?

- How did it feel when Andy doused you with soapy water?

- How do you think she'll react when she thinks Justin Timberlake will be there?

- Do you think KAYLIE will still be your friend after the prank?

- What will be the most challenging part of the prank?

INSERT: Blueprint animation.

ANDY (V.O.)The blueprint for OLIVIA'S prank is a star-struck friend, a love letter, some mushy fruit, damage to a stranger's car, and the total destruction of a celebrity's ride.

CUT TO:

14. INT. COHEN HOME - BAITING THE TARGET

SHOTS of OLIVIA on the phone, asking KAYLIE to help her out at a charity car wash.

BAIT NOTE: this will need to be discussed with the parents on both sides for it to be smooth.

CUT TO:

15. EXT. CAR WASH – SET UP

ANGLE on a PRANK PATROL ACTOR at the front of the car wash. He is wringing out wet rags. OLIVIA and KAYLIE arrive.

ANDY (V.O.)The owner of the car wash will be played by a Prank Patrol actor.

THE ACTOR introduces himself as GUIDO and says this is his car wash, and KAYLIE and OLIVIA introduce themselves in kind. They shake hands. GUIDO'S hands are wet, the GIRLS react.

GUIDO thanks the girls for coming and tells them they are going to be washing cars and collecting donations from the customers.

16. INT. CAR WASH - THE PRANKING

GUIDO tells them it's easier if they split the cars in half with each of them doing one side. He asks OLIVIA which side she wants.

OLIVIA claims the passenger side.

GUIDO tells KAYLIE that since she is on the driver's side, she'll be collecting the donations and thanking the customers. Is that ok with her?

Comments/reactions from KAYLIE.

GUIDO tells the girls the process. Example:

GUIDOOk girls so here's what we'll do. I'll spray the cars with water. Then you girls will wash the cars on your sides. Then I rinse and you dry your sides. Sound fair?

OLIVIA and KAYLIE respond. If KAYLIE says it's not fair, GUIDO should respond something like:

GUIDO (CONT'D)Too bad. This is my car wash.

GUIDO shakes out a towel.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Make sure there's nothing in the towel that will scratch the car. Oh look! Our first customer!

The girls react. Guido sprays the car with water and the girls go through the motions of washing 2-3 cars staffed by Prank Patrol insiders, under the watchful eye of GUIDO. All of the insider's comment on how good a job the girls are doing and how generous they are to volunteer to help out for a good cause.

ANDY (V.O.)Now that KAYLIE'S got the hand of things, let's mess it all up.

CUT TO:

PRANK #1 - "BUMPER FALLS OFF"

When they need to rinse off the last car, GUIDO pumps the water hose a few times. It sprays sporadically. He tells them to hold on, and not touch it. GUIDO runs off frame for a few minutes, leaving the girls.

OLIVIA asks KAYLIE how she likes it. KAYLIE responds. Just then GUIDO comes back.

GUIDOThe water tank in the back is cracked. I put some gum there to block it, but I have to go fix it right. If I don't, we won't have water to wash all the cars. Kaylie, you are doing such a good job with the customers, can I leave you in charge?


GUIDO (CONT'D)Kaylie you get to wet the cars and rinse them ok? Olivia will dry them.


GUIDO shows her how to wet the cars with the water pressure sprayer. He instructs her that it is important that she start at the rear and work her way counter clock wise around the car.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Ok, you've got the hand of it. Now Olivia, you stand behind Kaylie so you don't get sprayed.

GUIDO thanks her and runs off. Just then the STRANGER drives his car into the car wash. He steps out.

STRANGERHi girls, what a lovely day huh? Raising a lot of money I hope?

The girls comment.

He walks off SFK: WHISTLING.

OLIVIA should comment on how she has to do the drying while KAYLIE has to just spray them down.


As KAYLIE rinses the car, OLIVIA should tell her she's holding the sprayer too close and that it might damage the car.

KAYLIE reaches the bumper and the water spurts a few times, then comes out strong and knocks off the bumper. She will likely stop.

OLIVIA in her own words says I told you so to KAYLIE.

OLIVIA should tell KAYLIE to try and rinse the paint off so that it doesn't look so bad and maybe the customer won't notice.

Just then the STRANGER comes back sipping a POP, still in a good mood.

STRANGER (CONT'D)How are we doing? Nice and clean?

He looks at the bumper and FREAKS OUT!

STRANGER (CONT'D)What happened, who's responsible for this?

Comments/reactions from the girls. KAYLIE will likely deny that she did the damage. OLIVIA should back her up but say that KAYLIE was the one spraying it down.

STRANGER (CONT'D)And you kept spraying??!!! That car is my baby! Sure it may look like a piece of junk but it's my piece of junk! Who's in charge here? Someone is going to have to pay for this.

He crushes his can of pop in his hand.

ANGLE KAYLIE.

ANDY (V.O.)I can't wait to see how KAYLIE talks her way out of this one!

18. INT. CAR WASH - PRANKING CONT'D

Continuous action.

If KAYLIE doesn't claim to be in charge, OLIVIA must tell the STRANGER that her friend is in charge, but that it's not her fault.

STRANGERI don't care whose fault it is I just want to know who's paying for this?!

ANGLE cars lined up outside. The line isn't moving. GUIDO comes around to check what is going on.

GUIDOGirls, what's with the hold up?

Comments/reactions from the girls.

STRANGERLook what they did to my car! Whose going to fix it?

GUIDO looks at the damage.

GUIDOThat’s a pretty old car, sir.

STRANGERSo? I just bought it.

GUIDOYou’d should have checked it over before you bought it. That bumper was just waiting to fall off. Don’t blame the girls for this.

STRANGERWhat?! This is outrageous! You'll hear from my lawyer.

The STRANGER gets in his car and peels out of the parking lot.

GUIDOHe didn't even leave a donation! Heh! You girls keep working and don't worry about that bozo.

GUIDO exits.

Comments/reactions from the girls. 2-3 more cars come out before there is a lull in the pace.

PRANK #2 - "The Celebrity's Car is Coming!":

GUIDO walks up to the girls.

GUIDOListen up. Some famous singer is coming here. He's in town shooting a music video or something and heard about the charity wash. He wants to support the cause.

GUIDO should wait for OLIVIA to ask who it is.

GUIDO (CONT'D)I'm not too sure. His chauffeur said Justin...Justin something.

If KAYLIE doesn't guess GUIDO will give another clue.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Justin, the guy from that boy band. What's his last name again?

This should be enough to set KAYLIE off.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Do you guys know him? You want to meet him?

Comments/reactions.

GUIDO (CONT'D)He's coming any second and all I know is he's famous which means he's rich which means he'll probably leave a big donation.

Comments/reactions.

GUIDO (CONT'D)He's only going to leave a big donation if you do a good job on his car.

He exits.

OLIVIA will get excited and ask KAYLIE is she is excited too.


PRANK #3 – "THE LETTER AND FRUIT":

ANDY dressed as a CHAUFFEUR with a LONG PONY TAIL under his HAT and a BEER BELLY, drives the rigged Escalade into the wash.

ANDY gets out of the car and says that he had to drop off Justin Timberlake at a mall but will bring him back after the car is washed to make the donation.

He exits.

OLIVIA suggests to KAYLIE that they look around in the back seat. After all Justin sat there!

Comments/reaction from KAYLIE.

OLIVIA opens the back door and sneaks in. KAYLIE follows. If she is resistant, OLIVIA must convince her. He's not even there anyway!

They find the love letter and the fruit. OLIVIA makes KAYLIE read it suggests she put it in her pocket so they can sell it on EBAY - along with the fruit Justin touched!

If KAYLIE refuses, OLIVIA will take it and later claim KAYLIE forced her to do it.

ANDY (V.O.)I think it's time for OLIVIA for phase two!

PRANK #4 – "TRASH THAT RIDE":

KAYLIE washes the driver’s side, while OLIVIA takes the passenger side

As KAYLIE starts to wet the side of the car, the rear view mirror falls off.

Comments/reactions from KAYLIE and OLIVIA.

GUIDOOh that's not good. Here, let me grab that.

GUIDO hides the mirror.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Maybe he won't notice it. Carry on washing.


Play this out to the director’s satisfaction, then:

KAYLIE reaches the window and sprays it.

GUIDO and/or OLIVIA MUST BE SURE KAYLIE (AND THEY) ARE OUT OF THE SAFETY PERIMITER BEFORE:

The window shatters.


GUIDO (CONT'D)What happened? Oh no!


GUIDO (CONT'D)Come on KAYLIE, keep it together. This is probably going to be the biggest donation we get all day and I'm not going to lose it because of this. What do you think we should do?

Comments/reactions from KAYLIE and OLIVIA. If they can’t think of anything, GUIDO comes to the rescue.

GUIDO (CONT'D)I'll just blame it on the chauffeur and say he left the window down. Keep going.

When KAYLIE reaches the hood, it sparks, then BLAM and smoke pours out.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Stop! Stop!

GUIDO jumps on the hood, forcing it back down. Smoke still pours out from underneath.

GUIDO (CONT'D)Bad! This is very bad! I'm going to go get the mechanic to see if he can fix this.

GUIDO exits through the wash, leaving the girls alone to talk.

ANDY the chauffeur returns. He is carrying a COFFEE.

ANDYOh no, what happened! Who did this?

ANDY walks around the car inspecting the damage.

ANDY (CONT'D)Do you know whose car this is?!!

Comments/reactions from the girls. If they say no, he'll tell them it's Justin Timberlake.

ANDY (CONT'D)Do you know what Justin's going to do when he sees this!! He's going to freak! The last time

ANDY notices the bulge in KAYLIE'S pocket (If KAYLIE refused he will see OLIVIA has it). He reacts and then searches her and finds the fruit and letter.

ANDY (CONT'D)You stole Justin's letter and piece of his fruit. Who does that?!!! What is wrong with you?!

KAYLIE reacts. OR OLIVIA claims KAYLIE made her do it.

ANDY (CONT'D)I'm not explaining this to him. I only make 12 bucks an hour. You did this. You tell him.


Just then the phone rings. ANDY answers.

ANDY

Hi Justin.

ANDY passes the phone to KAYLIE.

ANDY (CONT'D)(whispers)You have to tell him, do you know why?

OLIVIA reveals the prank.

OLIVIAI got you Kaylie.

ANDY removes his wig and belly paunch.

ANDYYou've been taken in by the Prank Patrol!
