the entire Iberian Peninsula. This illustrious past has left its imprint on the histor-ic centre, particularly around La Alcazaba, a fortress which dates back to 1065 and is now a fascinating archaeological museum.

This course consists of 25 (20 + 5) les-sons each week. It’s the perfect course to choose if you want to com-bine a stay in a foreign country with language classes or if you have business obliga-tions.
The Combi program is an ideal combination of group lessons (4 hours each day) and Private teaching (1 hour daily). The individ-ual lessons of this course can be dedicated to extra conversational practice, special voca-bulary or business studies. Course length: from 1 to 24 weeks, in modules of 2 weeks.In these organised blocks you will be able to significantly improve your Spanish, no matter if you are an absolute beginner or an advanced student. The program con-sists of an integrated approach including textbook study, listening comprehension, pronounciation, vocabulary and practical skills.

Our Individual Spanish Course offers our participants a flexible individual learning programme. The course is dedicated to the personal and specific needs of each student.
The topics are chosen according to the par-ticular requirements and study aims of the learner, such as Spanish for
business, exam preparation or specific areas of language difficulty, such as grammar work, compre-hension skills and oral communication. You can choose between 2, 4 or 6 lessons daily.

If you require Spanish language training that is truly focussed on the particular needs of business, then you have come to the right place. All our business courses are inten-sive, dynamic, practical and skills-based. Our teachers are very experienced - and they recognise that not all businesses are the same. So our courses are flexible enough to reflect the needs of participants.
This course is designed for people who already speak and understand Spanish. The goal is to learn how to structure your speech correctly, how to de-fine concepts and how to speak and write properly in the Span-ish business world. Topics covered in this course are for example: general business correspondence, negotiations, discussion of com-mercial topics, dialogues in busi-ness situations, how to set up a business in Spain, commercial law and the position of Spain in the international market. .

The Alhambra Instituto offers an intensive 2 to 4 week preparation course to obtain this internationally recognized diploma offered by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. The exam is offered at three levels; inicial, básico and superior. To obtain the ‘inicial’ diploma, students require at least a pre-intermediate level, for the ‘basico’ diploma, an inter-mediate level and for the ‘superior’ an advanced or superior level to begin the course.

The main objective of the cour-se is to build participants’ legal vocabulary, classroom discus-sion skills, and pres-entation capabili-ties. Our Spanish for Law course covers many different types of law, for example, commercial law, family law, criminal law, inte-llectual propertylaw, medialaw, to name but a few. The course consists of 5 hours daily of general Spanish in a group (max. 10 students in the class) and 1 lessons of Legal Spanish in special group for Legal Spanish (max 5 students in the class)/ or Individual lesson in type B).
Alhambra Instituto offers a professional Interns-hip experience in sunny Malaga and other cities of Andalucia. Each pro-gram begins with full time intensive Spanish lan-guge training in a group environment with other international students from all over the world. Programs range from 12-28 weeks in length with 2 - 4 weeks Spa-nish tuition to prepare your level for the Internship.

Alhambra Instituto Málaga runs a range of development courses for Spanish language teachers working in Spain or Overseas. Courses are aimed at non native Spanish speak-ers who are teaching Spanish as a foreign language, or who want to train to teach Spanish as a second language.
Teacher development Spanish courses are very practical and interactive, and will give you lots of ideas that you can use in your own classrooms.
The target of this course is to give teachers of Spanish as a foreign/second language an update of the latest teaching methods from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
The Spanish for teachers Course consist in 5 lessons daily divided in 2 modules: a) module of refresh Methodology for teaching Spanish from 9:00 to 11:00 and b) module of New Technologies applied to the classroom: we will share
reviews of educational technolo-gy resources you can use in your classroom, from 11:20 to 14:00.
Participants will explore tools such as blogs, social bookmar-king, asynchronous text and au-
dio discussions, multimedia sharing sites, and videopodcasts. They will also be expected to complete and submit a final product consisting of a lesson plan that incorporates at least four of the Web 2.0 tools introduced in the course.
In this module we will work with Moodle as platform, and popular Moodle modules (like blog, wikis, quiz, hot potatoes quiz, lessons) and will enable teacher trainees to familiarize themselves with online tools.

Flamenco classes are a great way to get in shape and have fun, and tuition is suitable for all ages and abilities, beginners to advanced, chil-dren and adults. You do not need to be a trained dancer, nor do you have to be young and stream-lined - no matter your age or shape, our flamenco dance classes will have something for you!
This class will introduce students to Flamenco dance techni-que with special atention to arms, hands and movements of the body. We will study a flamenco style through a choreo-graphy. We will learn how the rhythm goes and how to play palmas. Appartments : the possibility to live in shared furnished apartment, in individual rooms (or double if you come with two friends). The minimum duration is 2 weeks. The students or the participants of our courses can reserve an apartment for them or search by themselves another type of accomodation. Thus you shared your life with 3, 4 or 5 people of the Institute. You have in common: a living room where you can meet or watch television, a kitchen to prepare your meals and one or more bathroom. That means that you will live with people of different nationality and that you will endeavour to speak Spanish.
SPANISH FAMILY Immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture by having us arrange your accommodations with a host family. Almost 80% students choose to live with a
host family during the first weeks of their program..
Staying with a host family is an important and rewarding part of the student’s learning process. The students receive their own house key and are only requi-red to bring their own towels. Students can choose half-board or full-board, as accommodation in a single or a double room. If there is more than one student
with a family we will look for an international roommate in order to encourage the use of Spanish 24 hours a day. To select the type of accommodation that suits you best or to inform us of any special (nutritional) needs, you can indica-te your preference on the bottom of the registration form.
Living with a Spanish host Family: we ask that you reserve your accommodation at least 2 weeks in ad-vance. Malaga and Alicante are popular tourist destinations and if you are booking your accom-modation during high season we advise you to make the reservation as soon as possible. We do accept last minute reservations if there is space, please check accommodation availability with us.
Hotels, Pensions or No Accommodation: If you wish we can help you find a hotel or pension which meets your requirements. If you prefer any other accommodation or arranged your own accomodation this of course is no problem at all.

HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION
Most students from Groups stay with host families who live within walking distance of the school. Students will have breakfast and lunch at home. Our hosts families welcome stu-dents throughout the year and are experienced with teenagers and students of all ages.

It is possible to include a number of excursions to famous locations, such as Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda-Marbella, Gibraltar, Madrid... Alhambra organizes barbecue/paella once a week. The students get the opportunity to cook typical Spanish food and of course enjoy eating it afterwards.
We take our students on cultural activities like guided tours through the city centers to visit the theatre and festivals, carnivals etc. Anything which will make our students fami-liar with Spanish culture and history.
Our students get the pleasure of typical Spanish tapas on one of our “Tapas safaris”, a guided tour into the world of the “Bares de Tapas”.
Salsa and Flamenco are latin dances that are appreciated all over Spain. At Alhambra Instituto we offer workshop of a flamenco dance class for beginners.
Our schools offer movies in our modern media hall. The movies are shown in Spanish with English subtit-les. All the activities help students to improve their Spanish in their free time. everything to improve the Spanish even on the free time.

How to get the School
You will find the bus stop on the forecourt outside the new Mala-ga Airport
